Hardware OMG I THINK MY WII IS BROKEN

Hello, nice day and all, but MY WII IS BROKEN AND I NEED HELP!

It all started one afternoon. I was playing super smash brothers melee, and suddenly after picking characters, it stopped and said something along the lines of
"THE GAME COULD NOT BE READ. PLEASE RE-ENSERT THE DISC AND TRY AGAIN"
That had never happened before, so i tried it again. It was fine for about 30 minutes

, until it happened again. :'(
i experimented with other games too, but when i inserted the disc it made a rumbling noise instead of the regular noise.
Eventually, it happened after every time played a gamecube again. I then switched to our old gamecube and it worked just fine

. I went and played a Wii game on my wii and got into it, until it happened the exact same way.

After much frustration, i stuck an index card into it and yanked it out, and it started to work again

, for a certain amount of time.

Should I try to return it, or keep it? what do you think happened to it? is there such thing as playing too much gamecube games on your wii?

If your wii isn't modded just send it in to Nintendo, they should fix it up.

disc drive is faulty, send to nintendo

So send it to Nintendo - they'll fix it.
