Man, I can't believe the only reason my umd drive isn't working is the TINY little "magnifying glass" like piece that focuses the laser is missing!.. Its like super important! -.-


Anyone know how I can fix this?? >.> I don't wanna shell out 20 bucks just for a new umd drive...

haha inorite.. But seriously, downloading games is hurting my bandwidth.. I'd really like to borrow my friend's games and copy them onto my pc using my umd drive.. I hate having to borrow my friend's umd's AND psp's -.-

You can surely replace it yourself but you'll likely need to resort to desodering and resodering a whole new lens system onto it. The glass, laser diode and all.

its the little optical lens part, on top of the laser, that moves up and down :/
