ROM Hack Old3DS: nand backup 2GB sd enough?..

today i got 2 more consoles for 100$CAN:
-N2ds xl
-O3DS zelda edition

my question is about the Old 3DS.
Will it be fine for the entire softmodding process to use a 2GB sd card?
i know, technically speaking, i only need around 1.3GB for the nand backup wich is enough, but, will it still work knowing that its always recomended to use atleast 4GB ?
(i keep on using my sd adapters to make nand-backup-adapters for xbox and 3ds so in the end.. i have lots of plastic covers for it but no complete micro sd adapter lol..) will order a new one soon..

Yep, in fact a trimmed nand backup (S:/nand-minsize.bin) should be under 1 GB
