Your easiest options all include you using a game cartridge to update to a specific software version, so I suggest you get ahold of one. Here are all of your options from easiest to hardest:

• Get a game cartridge that updates you to 4.X or 6.X. After that, use a cheap DS flashcart to perform the MSET method to install B9S.
• Get a game cartridge that updates you to 9.0-11.3 (preferably 9.0-11.0 for more choices to be available). Then, use an alternative entrypoint to enter the Homebrew Launcher and install B9S.
• Update to 11.5 over the internet and then perform the DSiWare method to install B9S (requires a second O3DS that already has B9S on it).
• Perform a hardmod and install B9S.
• Wait for ntrboothax to be released (requires a compatible DS flashcart)

Excelent! I already have a chinese DS flashcart from a broken DS, so now I have to get a game! (or a Sky3DS am I right?)

Sky3DS price is high but can come handy, will try both ways see how it goes.

If it works on an OFW 11.4 3DS, then it will certainly work on a 4.X or 6.X OFW 3DS.

Hi, Im going to get Fire Emblem Awakening that comes with 4.4.0U, whats the update preocedure? Put the cart and update? Thats it? Or I have to all of this (which I cant understand why):

Instructions

1. Boot your device into recovery mode by holding (L) + (R) + (A) + (UP) while powering on
2. If prompted, decline the update
3. Reboot your device
4. Put the game in your device if it is not already
5. Attempt to launch the game
6. Update when prompted

That's recovery mode (which clears any predownloaded update, if any) followed by instructions for running a game for people too insecure to try

If you've never connected to the internet you don't have to do all of that. It is to delete any predownloaded update.

You can use TubeHax DNS. But there's nothing to fear from updates if you have installed B9S.
