Hacking Ok, questions about this HDD

The Wiki states that this HDD has issues yet all it lists are things listed with the rest of the working HDDs (Only works if the whole drive is formatted in FAT32 by a 3rd party app(Fat32Format), and then WBFS is installed from the pc as well. In order for the loader to see your partition, hook up the USB but leave the drive unplugged. Boot up the wii and plug in the drive in the HBC.) Does anybody have any experience trying this HDD, and does it work? I am not going to be partitioning the HDD if that means anything.

I have the black version (also has esata and firewire). No matter what I do, I can't get it recoginized by the wii. I tried everything, and can't get it to work.
If you don't already have the drive, I would stay away. Others suggested the same.
If you have the drive, of course, there's no real reason not to try it.

There's a good deal for a 750 WD at staples. I just got one. Check out slickdeals.net or fatwallet for the info.

I did get it, but it isn't open. I might go back and get a portable one that works.
