The R4 will pretty much cover your emulator and DS rom needs
The 3 in 1 will cover up your GBA needs and provide RAM for stuff like DSLinux
Both the R4 and 3 in 1 will cover your need for the use of the Opera Web Browser

Otherwise if you don't like the complications, get an M3 CF card as mentioned by other posters and flash your DS/ Get a passkey

SCDS1(sdhc)+EZ4-minisd(for phat ds)

you'll have the best of everything ds+gba related

or if you want to cheapen up the package, get the ez3in1 instead of the e4minisd

R4 + EZFlash 3-in-1 is the way to go if you wanna do everything. I think there's a combo pack on gameyeeeah that's a fairly good price. Or you can get any other slot 1 device that you may want, like the M3 Real or Supercard DS One, or CycloDS Evo.

Don't forget, people.

The EZ Flash 3 in 1 will not work in his PHAT DS, so he needs to get the Original GBA sized ones.
I can't really find these.. I believe Gameyeeeah sells them.

Buy a M3 CF perfect and you can do all of the things you said above. And you can use your CF cards too.

Don't use older, shittier (IMO) flashcarts.
Get an M3 SD of GBA.
And get an R4 for NDS and Homebrew.

You'd be set to go, yo.

To me, the M3 Lite is the best option if you want a slot 2 cart and you are willing to pay quite a bit of cash. I think it is quite unneccesary though, if GBA is SUPER important, go for a CycloDS Evolution + EZ Flash 3 in 1 combo...

I personally own an M3 Lite and use it on NDS Lite and GBA.
But for him, he owns an NDS Phat, and could use the regular SD (cheaper SD cards, and less expensive for the cart).

But, MrRochie, there are a ton of different cards that specialize and do different things.
Just read up on them, and do your homework to find the best card "suitable" for what you'll use it mostly for.
