How could you tell what's the last thing she remembers?
You said she can't talk or write.

I'm sorry for not quite believing you (especially if you're telling the truth), but there are even more contradictions than that ...

it is most common to call 911, who then get in touch with the police and/or ambulance as appropriate. some people (especially in small towns) just call directly to one or the other, cutting out the middle man, so to speak. my grandmother thought it was silly to call 911 when she knew the numbers of both the hospital and police department.

whatever the reason, i sincerely hope and pray your sister makes a full recovery, zeppo.

For those that don't know (and didn't bother to go to zeppo's link), a stroke is when you develop a clot in your blood stream on the way to your brain. So essentially imagine not gaining any blood to your brain for a prolonged amount of time. If the stroke lasts a really long time, irreversible brain damage occurs.

My grandmother many years before she died had three surgeries, ranging from removal of cancer to repairing a hip, and after each one had a stroke immediately afterward. It was very difficult watching her lose her mental stability.

zeppo: By the sound of it, your sister was lucky. She didn't die, and by the sounds of it, she's recovering fairly well. I'm willing to bet she's going to be given some blood thinners to make sure such a clot doesn't affect her again. Here's hoping everything turns out okay.

Jesus loves You!
Prey Hallelujah!
Somethin' good is gonna happen to you soon, trust me.
Anyway, I'm atheist too, rather

Good luck for you.

zeppo: I'm glad that your sister's alright now. Good thing you were there. Be positive and you'll see that everything will be back to normal, as soon as she gets better.

@JPH: I'm sorry to hear that about your mom, seriously dude.

@MisterNero: I can't believe what you just commented, sometimes I think this world is twisted in ways I could never understand. Let's hope we can do something so things like that will stop happening. =(

Ha. I'm sort of agnostic/atheist myself.

Anyway, I just got back from visiting her. She's doing okay and she seemed happy. Her right foot even moved a little bit, which is a really good sign. I'm going to be going over every day. My friends will walk over with me after school sometimes, also.

I sort of am too. Praying just sounds better than 'we really hope'.

So... any news?

Things like this put other things into perspective. Our frustration over SMG or R4 kinda goes away, as we realize what is really important.

Wow.. My heart just bumped 200 times in a millisecond from that.. Sounds soo movie-ish , God i'm soooooooooooooooooooooooo happy you'r sister is okay , and i'm fully supporting you and praying for her goodness , I'll even add something to my signature so other will come and support..

May you'r sister be back to her own fully working self.
Amen!

(i'm not religious in any way .. )

you don't believe me? then fuck off and quit reading these lies.
we can tell the last thing she remembers because she shake her head yes or no to questions. We asked her if she went outside to jumprope, because I saw one lying next to her on the ground. We asked if that was the last thing she remembered, and she said yes.

do tell, what the hell are those other "contradictions"?
fucking asshole.

she does martial arts and stuff at least 4 times a week, is not fat at all and has an extremely healthy diet.

they found a tiny hole between the two ventricals in her heart, and say it's been there since she was born. Apparently tiny blood clots go around your body regularly and don't cause any problems, but one went through that tiny hole and started going the opposite direction. It got bigger and got stuck in her brain, which caused the stroke.

Or at least, that's what they think happened. they're doing some tests to see.
