I run AMS + Emummc with Hekate

For an extremely long time I have been noticing that my free memory on the system (ofw and emummc) is getting fuller and no games are installed.
I used to install games on it, but then somehow deleting them would not seems to actually free any space (cant be sure, though).
I’m quite ignorant and easily confused in anything related to AMS/emummcand related stuff so I just thoughts I might have some files forgotten somewhere and never bothered investigating any further.
Today i wanted to try on the ofw Apex, so I deleted Fortnite which it was the only game installed on the system.
At the moment I was meant to start the download the switch displayed a problem with not enough space. I reboot the console several time but nothing, only 10gb of free space left.
I checked everything, there was literally nothing on it (no sd inserted, only a game cartridge).
Frustrated I tried a factory reset , even in recovery mode, but even then I would get an error (2005-0005).
I read online, someone suggested to remove the game cartridge saying that some option in hekate “nogc” could cause this issue.
I removed the cartridge and lo and behold, system memory in now free!
I reinsert the game but the memory remains free.
At that point I didn’t try to factory reset anymore because I didn’t need it..

tldr
removing game cartridge freed space in the system memory for no apparent reason

Now Im really not sure what the hell has happened, so I decided to write here just in case some of you could explain it to me, or maybe some soul can use this post to fix a similar issue in the future, if you guys want me to add more information just ask.

ok so as i expected emunand still work perfectly,
I have noticed that also the emunand “system memory” looks full despite no games or file to account for it..
that is so bizzarre.
