Okay, so I just updated to the Xbox One 1902 system update and not only is file picker finally & reliably working for me, but it is very fast.

I gave up for now on running my bios files/saves/states externally and have them in the default locations on the built-in hard drive. Just need to remember to make backups of saves after playing games.

DeSmuME 2015 plays Yoshi's Island DS fine now. Unfortunately, you have to set RA to APP for it to work. Sorry! But it is very happy running, no lag during the start menu animation.

Scanning to collections works, and I have noticed that the speed of the scan seems to be proportionate to the type and size of file being scanned. For example, GameBoy takes about 5 seconds each. Genesis/Snes take about 30-45.

Need to point out that I am using update 7, the first 2019 build w/ Ozone.

Might be time to test some of the other cores that were not working properly.

Oh, does desmume run other ds games fine as well?

I have no idea. I only located and tested a copy of Yoshi's when I saw that dominater was having trouble too.
Interestingly, now that I'm able to set RA as an UWP App and use file picker, the latest Mame romset is recognized also.

Wait, DeSmuME or DeSmuME 2015?

my ds emulator now works by switching back to app i wonder why tho?

I was able to get yoshi’s Island to work with desmume2015 at one point it went to a white screen but I just reset the content and it played fine after that.

I'm thinking that too.
And if so then maybe it could be the reason we don't have other cores loading? Like someone mentioned dolphin loads when it's side loaded on laptop. So in turn it should work on the xbox but doesnt. Obviously opengl has alot to play with some cores but not all that are listed not working

That's why I suggested retesting cores, especially after the xbox update from 2 days ago. The update is what got file picker working on my system. Who knows what else it has affected.

the xbox one build cant load ppsspp and dolphin cores because the the uwp build for pc relies on a dll located somewhere on the pc that its using to load the core

i have no idea how to find that out

One of the main advantages of 1.7.6 (besides the AWESOME SwitchRes for PC over RGB to a CRT TV), is that you can change resolutions within the menu.

Can we finally get real 720p or 1200p (240p x5 integer scale glory) or is this still a no go on the X1?
