Okay, so I just updated to the Xbox One 1902 system update and not only is file picker finally & reliably working for me, but it is very fast.
I gave up for now on running my bios files/saves/states externally and have them in the default locations on the built-in hard drive. Just need to remember to make backups of saves after playing games.
DeSmuME 2015 plays Yoshi's Island DS fine now. Unfortunately, you have to set RA to APP for it to work. Sorry! But it is very happy running, no lag during the start menu animation.
Scanning to collections works, and I have noticed that the speed of the scan seems to be proportionate to the type and size of file being scanned. For example, GameBoy takes about 5 seconds each. Genesis/Snes take about 30-45.
Need to point out that I am using update 7, the first 2019 build w/ Ozone.
Might be time to test some of the other cores that were not working properly.
