Super Mario 3D World has 3,059 files across 62 folders. Hyrule Warriors has 7,280 files, 98 folders and is four times the size of SM3DW - and yet it is faster. There's more at play here, though I have no idea what.

Longer than SM3DW. I'm pretty sure it froze, though I honestly don't remember. I'll try it again later today, and if it still doesn't work try to merge the update again in case I screwed that process up.
I'm watching the server log for TW101 right now and it took over 15 mins to read the "English(US)" stream folder, and now it's reading the "Japanese" steam folder which also has 2000+ files.

I'm not sure if it will end up working or not, we'll see after another 15 mins.

EDIT: Working fine.. took 31 mins total to load.

I can confirm that Captain Toad's Treasure tracker USA works on a US Wii U. Everything is the same as the EUR version size wise.

What would be the point, you could just use the server version...
Did I miss something with the Loadiine server? I thought using that option just reports back to the "server" what files are being accessed for debugging problems? Are you saying it can stream files over wifi as well?

That's what I thought it did, maybe I don't understand correctly though? Either way if that's NOT what it does it should be theoretically possible to recompile Loadiine to accept a different game as a base and load over the network rather than through the SD card slot

If the Japanese folder was removed will it still run?

Hi all.
I've just started trying to get my head around the whole Loadiine thing...... 2 questions please:
1. I've seen on a particular website (which I'm not allowed to name but specialises in wii u iso's) the option to download Smash Bros. - Don't you need Smash Bros. to load loadiine in the first place? What would be the point of loading a backup of the game you already technically own?
2. Is anybody else having trouble downloading from that site that I won't name? I mean, these file hosting sites that they link to are the worst!

Thanks in advance. Hopefully I haven't broken any rules with my questions!

1. Probably to prepare for Mii Maker Only update. If it ever comes out.

1. Well, I mean, it is a backup loader. Backups are made to preserve the original, so it'd be to stop your Smash disc from being ruined I suppose. You only need it in the console to boot the backup as far as I'm aware.
2. No issues here. The fact they mostly use Mega is a godsend.

It's possible that Hyrule Warriors doesn't load as much files as SM3W upon booting the game :).

Edit : Dimok just added a fix which would speed up the loading of such files about 10 times.

I believe that's the case. I've noticed that missions will take a while to load, I can sit through the entire dialogue scene before each mission and sometimes "start mission" is still greyed out for a few seconds to a minute. Not a deal breaker though like it was with SM3D World for me haha.

you can downsize all the cutscenes on hyrule warriors, on one of my SD cards (another one plays the original video fine and better load speeds all round, but on one of them the videos where very choppy and kept freezing to buffer leading to long load times, i just compressed them all down from 3GB to 300mb, with virtually zero visual difference, load times loading up missions is still a little slow, but cutscenes work fine and it saves pretty much half the space used up by hyrule warriors, i even made a second batch of video's that knocks the videos down to 36MB...really crappy quality, but still usable
