Don't care ab getting banned, have two switches. Testing things out on my first one. If you need an update for a game to work, this might be the only way of going about updating it afaik.

We are likely to get the ability to run DevMenu on ReiNX in the very near future.

The moment you install an illegitimate NSP, you risk being banned if you connect your Switch to the internet.

You have to have purchases NSPs to own them, connecting online to update them is just asking for a ban.

There's really not going to be getting around it on the Switch, Nintendo's very much on top of their game. If you don't want to get banned but go online, then... don't pirate/hack. Simple as that.

If the question is: "Can I go online to do shady thing and not risk getting banned?" then the answer is always going to be "No."

As I said, updates are not compatible with Tinfoil. You need to go back to Hekate/LayeredFS to launch DevMenu if you want to install updates.

Good to know that I wasn't crazy and missed something. What's also interesting is that's the same cutoff Rei was able to get the sig patches working for his build.

Yes because they work the same way as .CIAs did on the 3DS

You should be able to, yes.

I don't know as much about the Switch as other people, I haven't actually performed any hacks on mine at all.

All I've personally done is load Hekate and AutoRCM but I've read up on a lot of the Switch hacks. What else do ya wanna know?

I'm not sure if anyone already wrote it but if you add FS.kip to LayeredFS in hekate_ipl.ini and launch it with Hekate and you can load dev menu AND have sig patches to install whatever you want.

Less likely but still pretty likely since it involves installing proprietary content to your system.
