It was probably a combination of this thread as well as the "SX OS Cracked" thread that is now deleted. But apparently, there are "builds" of ReiNX floating around that have the necessary signature patches that the official one lacks.

For now, yes, because of a quirk with Atum.

Long term? I wouldn't count on it, they can fix the quirk and then a ban is a ban from everything.

Until Nintendo provides a separate server for game and system updates, you can use Freeshop on a banned Switch.

Until Nintendo provides a separate server for game and system updates, you can use Freeshop on a banned Switch.

They don't need a separate server. They can just cross-check buygo with atum requests. But its far easier for them to split Atum into two different server sets, and then just carpet bomb certificates.

It's a grey area. Since the kip file isn't illegal, and it only blocks code, it doesn't really modify it. So we generally allow it, else 99% of all CFW would be deleted from here.

Here's the zip with the illegal stuff removed (whole Freeshop dir as it contained cert and tickets). Untested by me, but everything else still in it is from the 3.zip that others in this thread say is safe and working, and was approved by Rei.

This version has Rei's seal of approval. There's a post somewhere in this thread.

ReiNX doesn't need Hekate. Run ReiNX.bin.
