Getting names of those who operate in release groups wouldn't be difficult. Yet, you don't see release groups saying "OH, NINTENDAH GOTZ US!" Something like this, where Nintendo likes to pretend it doesn't even exist, won't get top priority. If anything, this will be one of those things that Nintendo takes care of silently, having files deleted as they locate them.

like all the other release groups..you need to make a name for yourself for the entire internet to see!

Not really secure.
Unless he was behind 20 proxies, it isn't a good idea to just publicly say on every rom site that he was the one who dumped them.
iND would be enough.

He has already posted very publicly here that he has dumped it. What difference would it make if it were on a ROM site?

He isn't doing anything illegal so what are you afraid of

Uh, yes he is. Distributing copyrighted code of ANY sort without permission is illegal, including the code contained on these carts that he has dumped.

There is no indication on the cart or anywhere that the code is copyright protected.

When he upload it secure and discretely, than nintendo has no prove that he was it. Anyway I dont think nintendo would report against him and when, than it would be abolished because of a lack of evidence.
No evidence?
He has already stated numerous times that he's uploading it.

Also, he's the only one who has access to this cartridge so it's not like any old person can go and upload a dump of this debug cart. It doesn't take Sherlock to put two-and-two together and figure out that he dumped it.

The cartridge has been sold on ebay, so there are now two possible parties involved.

People are forgetting one thing: what kind of damages could Nintendo claim? This software is harmless to their revenue flow.

I came to this same conclusion as well.

If they want me to take it down and any other materials involved, that's fine.

Don't worry. Anyway, I recommend backtrack to connect to internet because is safer. Think that when you connect to internet you are giving information about your O.S. and some things more, so it is better to connect through a linux distro like backtrack. Go to a town far and do the job.

ya but he refers to the twl carts!

Yeah, I kind of figured as much. I'll be digging into those this weekend..
Won't you need a DSi?

I do have a DSi and 3DS. Only problem is I have to pick up a DSlite this weekend.

I'd like to donate to the cause, but they ain't being done.

From what I gather, are you having issues running the dumps? We should check for compatibility. I can test AceKard 2i. Seeing as each card has different hardware...

No, it starts up without a hitch on a DSLite, no patching or anything needed.

I just don't have a sufficient flashcard to test on DSi.

Well, it should work the same on a DSi because the flashcard boots it in a DS Lite mode, so you can't access extra features of the DSi. That is unless you use a Cyclo DS iEvolution. It can use the extra features.
