ROM Hack Official Kirby Mass Attack AP thread

I'm not complaining or anything. It's just shocking not seeing an AP patch yet out for the game itself.

Uh is it shocking? I love the assumption that things will get cracked somehow while ignoring that someone actually has to take the time to do it. There's only a couple of guys who have ever cracked any protection on the DS, other people/teams simply copied the methods... so when something new comes along, one of those few has to even be bothered to do it.

DS scene has been lacking crackers the whole time and now interest is lower than ever. Considering the attitude of the enduser who can blame them really. Pokemon Black/White was actually fixed almost immediately, and the person who did it simply didn't release; surprise surprise nobody new stepped up to do it.

I can definitely say these meta fortress protections are tedious to crack which is exactly why they are good. The more tedious and boring it is the less likely a cracker is to actually crack it. Especially when it takes several hours if not days to scan through every single instruction in the arm9 binary for check sums.

i finished the second level already, the save is working great i even played one of those minigame extras without any problem.

Plus, there IS a wait if you live in Europe or not near a game store that stocks this. Waiting for a crack is probably faster in that case.

But the point is it fixes the problem and if pirates want it bad enough they'll buy it.
