Can official developer flashcarts be used on retail consoles either without modding or with i saw them and they seem cool wondering if its possible to just flash a rom onto one and use like a normal cart?

Some cartridges can be written to, yes. But DUMP THEM, VERIFY THE DUMPS, AND RELEASE THE DUMPS FIRST. I'd be happy to assist with this. Dev and factory cartridges can and will have one of a kind prototypes, DO NOT overwrite them until you have guaranteed that you've made a complete error free backup (this needs manual checking, dev carts often dump improperly). The first pic you showed is a DSi factory cart, and one of those has the keys to sign HWInfo, allowing for perfectly valid region changes, and for recovering from bricks without a NAND backup. Even if these carts and their contents look the same, they could have different and important software. Dump, dump, dump.

There are some limitations:
  • Only TWL carts can be written to without an ISND/ISNW
  • You can only write NTR ROMs for use with retail systems. TWL ROMs need the secure area in order to work, but there is no way to regenerate this for retail, so TWL ROMs WILL NOT WORK.
Now with all the disclaimers out of the way, here is how to do it.

Cheers.

PS: DUMP YOUR CARTS, I DON'T THINK I MADE THAT CLEAR ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!

Why use something rare and potentially problematic when unofficial carts are cheap and plentiful? Unofficial carts will also work without modding if they're new enough to circumvent the final version of the blacklist.

Weren't those the keys made available in one of the gigaleaks..?

No. They were for CTR iirc, but definitely not TWL. TwlIPL only had non-working dummy keys. We also don't have builds for any of the programs that used the keys.

I've been trying to hunt down a cart with them for a very long time now. Seems like it'll be the only source. It was just handled a little more carefully so it'll take a while to get D:

Have these been dumped before!? That's pretty cool, the DSi Master Key. Also, would it happen to contain the DSiWare signatures/certificates?

The cartridges with HWInfo keys have not been dumped, but other factory tools are backed up.

There are no cartridges containing signing certs for DSiWare. You'd want a gigaleak 2 for that.

So I am both lucky and unlucky:(.
Let me show you the Xianyu chat record..
I had already reserved the DEV cart (if someone already bought them, I can't purchase), but someone had intercepted and monopolized them.I only wanted 4 (later I wondered if I could keep 2 for myself), but the interceptor didn’t agree..

I really hate people who create monopolies.
In the future:angry:I will directly monopolize them.
