Wait, did you actually input them yourself or did you use a Midi > BDX converter?
I used Midi2BBS and then put them into a save file using BDX Tool, then extract them so that they would be in BDX format.

QUOTE(Rubedo @ Jul 6 2011, 01:11 PM) 2. I now have Wi-Fi again, and a router, so I can dump my DBBDX (J) save... But the thing is, I'm a little confused on just how to do it all, so I'm going to wait till a friend of mine (who knows a lot about computers) can come into town and help me. Hopefully that will be sometime this month

If that's easy to do, then I could dump my JwtB save file to contribute the download songs I have.

DO IT.
DO IT NAAAAAO!

Seriously, we REALLY need some more western songs to get people's attention!
Also er... If the PW songs are Midi > BBS > BDX... I'm not going to add them to the pack, since the converter does a pretty poor job...
BUT I COULD TOTALLY USE THOSE WI-FI SONGS!

Also, can you tell me how to rip the JWTB save? I know how to get DBBDX's save, but I'd heard that the save ripping tools didn't support JWTB's larger save file.

Try them. They're pretty nicely done.
Compare them to the official ones from the game's soundtrack.

And I was asking you about how to dump my save file, so I don't know how to do it.

Oh. Heheheh...
Well...

Try this!
This is what I plan to do when I get my friend over here... Though I'm not sure if it works with JWTB's larger save file yet...

Would NDS_Backup_Tool_3in1 work?

Potentially. Give it a shot.
I vaguely remember someone once telling me that you may need to edit... something with the 3-in-1 backup tool to increase the maximum save file size it can rip, though...
Additionally, that was referring to DBBDX, not specifically to JWTB.
Edit: This was the topic in question: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=264662&hl=

Pingouin7 said:
How would I do that?

It says in the topic. Edit the .ini file for the backup tool using Notepad. Add the data for the game (game size, save size) and save it.
If you manage to extract the save, then we'll worry about getting the songs off the save when we get to that point.

Doesn't seem to work.
I get it to load on my EZ-Flash IV (Using the Slot-2 backup tool) and the "Dump SAV" option is simply greyed out.

The 3in1 backup tool simply didn't recognize the cart.

Did you edit the .ini?
Do you only have JWTB or do you also have DBBDX?

Find me a copy of bbdxsave.nds
This is a homebrew program made by deufeufeu that actually works for dumping JwtB save file.
However, his site is down since a good while and it seems it was the only place we could get it from.

I'm going to try to find it as well.

Here it is, but I don't think it works with JWTB, only DBBDX... You can try though.

Also, remember, if it does work, DON'T POST YOUR SAVE. Well, unless you've maxed your slots out, then it wouldn't matter.
If anyone got ahold of your save file, they could fill up your slots using your save's ID code, effectively locking you out of the rest of your slots.
Posting the bdx files themselves is fine, just don't post the save.

Nope.
But do you have a changelog of the 0.4 version?
The one I had found was 0.3, not sure if yours was v0.4

When was 0.4 released?

Wow, you're right, I have 0.3.
...There's a 0.4? I have no clue when it was released...
Edit: I can't seem to find any info on 0.4... Are you sure he released it?

Pretty sure he did.

You can retrieve/save the fully 8MB save from/to "Daigasso! Band Brothers DX" cartridge by using any Slot2 Development Tools, such as EZ4, SuperCard, and M3 Perfect/Lite. You need to use "NDS Backup Tool Slot2 v031" tool for this purpose. You need to patch to the tool in order to allow it to access fully 8MB address range as follows;

NDS_Backup_Tool_Slot2.nds

Quote from the DBBDX release thread.
I tried that, still doesn't let me backup a 8MB save file from Jam with the Band.
I doubt that patch would be restricted for the Japanese DBBDX, since all it does is let the backup tool access the 8MB save file.

Anyone got this to work before?

Try extracting it as 16MB or 32MB. Like I said, the save file size seems to be variable depending on which cart is used. Might as well try all sizes.

But the Backup tool is only patched to access the 8MB range.
I don't know how to patch it to access the 16 or 32MB range.

(Editing the .ini file didn't work.)
