But the Backup tool is only patched to access the 8MB range.
I don't know how to patch it to access the 16 or 32MB range.

(Editing the .ini file didn't work.)

Maybe ask someone who knows stuff about hex editing to try hex editing the file?

Mind trying the patched backup tool to see if it actually works with DBBDX, if you have a Slot-2 cart?
This one has been patched for EZ-Flash IV, not sure if it would be possible to patch it for another Slot-2.

Unfortunately, I don't have a slot 2 cart, that's why my DBBDX Wi-Fi songs haven't been ripped yet, and why I need to use the Wi-Fi method.

(And hey, for some reason the DStwo generates a 8mb save file.
Didn't JwtB use 32mb?)
Nope, it uses a 8 mb save.

QUOTE(Sora de Eclaune @ Jun 24 2011, 01:22 AM) Edit) Quick question. Where do I go to suggest BDX files to be made?
Probably nowhere. I'm working on a few files (hikari of KHII and the go go power rangers song) so we could probably make a thread to collect the own made bdx files.

So did you ever finish these two BDX files?

We won't be able to dump save files from Jam with the Band since it's save method hasn't been reverse-engineered yet (and probably won't be since it is only used for two games.)

I finished Hikari in a piano version (still needs some fixes now that I know how to use the editor better) and for the Power Rangers song, I need to find a couple of instruments (well, I found them, but I don't know how to read tabs, so I need a friend to come to my house to help me). Right now Im working on Valkyrie Profile - Fighting the Shadowy Gods.

Two games? What's the second one?

Ah, I see. Well, whenever you get any of them done, send me a PM and/or post them here

Got any more songs for me? :3
So how come nobody has bothered to make JWTB/WWDIY saves rippable?

Either trying to figure out the NAND thing on the cart is difficult OR nobody bother to look into it since it's only on two (somewhat unimportant) games.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get my DBBDX save ripped. I have the Wi-fi backup tool but it just... won't connect...

Got some bad news. Ripping my save failed. I even had a friend of mine who knows a lot about computers come over and he still couldn't figure it out. Sorry guys

Heh, if only you waited a couple of days. I dumped two more downloaded songs. Actually, I want to propose something...to everybody...if there's STILL anybody left. :P

We all know that JwtB NAND save isn't going to be crack anytime soon. There are some Western (non-Japanese) / English songs on DBBDX server, especially from created user "@そとのしもべ@" (@sotonoshimobe@). I also have 78 slots left on DBBDX because most of the music/.bdx are already available "outside" the game. So I'm willing to give up 20 slots or more for download those music. I might download all Western/English songs from @そとのしもべ@ (or not all if you think some of them already in the pack or just not good).

If anybody have suggestion on what songs I should download from other user feel free to post and I'll take a look (more like listen) at it.

I've listened to some of those and as far as I can tell, they're all pretty poor quality.

Exactly which songs did you listen? You can't just listen to some and claim ALL poor quality (and also elaborate what quality's poor).

The way I hear it it's either on par (good or bad) or a bit improvement from the songs on JwtB server.

I don't remember. It was a long time ago. I'm fairly certain I was disappointed with them, though.

Well there you go. Give it a listen again because not ALL are crap.

The ones, for example, from the Jackson 5 (or MJ or whatever) and Alica Keys sounds good.
Yet Yoake Umarekuru Shoujo sounded horrible in-game. It sounded great on my computer, but in-game it sounded horrible, off-beat, and off-key. Some of the instruments were also wrong.

However, that was the only one I downloaded to my save file that sounded less than great. Any others only sound bad because of my musical preference.

Just make a note to yourself, though: if it sounds bad when you preview it on your computer, it'll sound great in-game. I've found this to be true of all the songs I've gotten.

Edit) I have a question about song editing. I have the song Starry Heavens and noticed that the beginning violin doesn't fade in as it should. However, when I tried to edit it to fade in, I couldn't get it to do so (it wouldn't let me! Just because it's one long sustained note doesn't mean it can't fade in. I've seen other songs that have fade-in on sustained notes, so it's not like it can't do it). Does anyone know how I can cause the violin to fade in?

Uh, you do know that the BDX/Degausser preview sounds absolutely nothing like it does in-game, right?
I wasn't talking about that anyway, I was referring to the actual songs on Wi-Fi.
