I have a xbox 360 slim that occasionally has issues on startup. The system is rgh3. Most of the time it will turn on without issue, but sometimes when i press either power or eject it will only make the button noise, and not light up and turn on. I have also tried turning on with the controller and it will not work that way either when this occurs. Once it does this, I have to unplug the power supply and plug it back in several times, and it will eventually turn on. Along with this, It will sometimes turn on and hang with just the power light without booting, and sometimes give a red dot with error 79(bad hdd), and also the fan will run super fast until restarted. The hdd has been changed already, so the bad hdd seems to be false and will clear with a reboot. I have also tried other power supplies to make sure the issue isnt there. Does anyone know a good starting point to troubleshoot this? It will be a few days before I get a chance to tear it back down. Also, this system had a nand swap due to having a bad nand previously, but the issue was there before the nand was changed out. Thank you for any info.
