Hardware O3DS won't turn on when in sleep mode!

HELP! Recently I ordered an R4i GOLD 3DS RTS to install B9S onto a bricked O3DS. I haven't received the R4i yet, but I found out that the 3ds doesn't turn on when the magnet is on the sleep mode sensor. I took the magnet off and the blue LED turned on (But didn't boot because it is bricked). When I close the system and use something to turn it on while it is closed, it does the same thing! ANY IDEAS!!!

I gues that this is simply how it works. Just wait for you flashkart and try it.
Did you hold the button combination too?

I wasn't holding the buttons long enough. I held the buttons longer and it worked!!
