still not low enough price for me for what it is. I mean it would be reasonable if I didn't buy the galaxy tab 2 7' in 2013 for my bday

That's a lot better deal and had the price dropped before I picked up my JXD S7800b I probably would have had a much harder decision to make.

I mean yeah the JXD was over 60 dollars cheaper than the 199 price, but to Nvidia's credit that machine has a lot more oomph and for some games is probably a lot better to use. (Games that require you to hold the unit tablet style and use the touch screen probably work better on my JXD)

Everything has it's pro's and con's but at least now the price is more in line with it's value, at least that's my opinion.

Edit:

Does this mean there is a possibility for a Shield 2?

I don't know how well it sold, I think the real determining factor in if there will be another one is how well it sold. If Nvidia lost a ton of money on this thing.... I wouldn't bet on there being a second one.

On the other hand I would say there is a reasonable chance since Nvidia does seem to sell a lot of Tegra chips in other devices so maybe they use that money to keep the project going?

It was already announced in Janurary that Nvidia is working on the Shield 2 and it's going to use Kepler the same architecture (right word?) that is powering that 600 and 700 series graphics cards. So it's going to be amazing.

Ahh I see, I'll have to look into it sometime
