I'd say low due to the attention to the sheild tabletSo what are the odds of a Portable Two being announced sometime this year? I'm not interested at all in tablets or consoles from Nvidia.

This. Its also a Phone. Yeah think of it like the never-released Xperia Play 2.Hopefully another company releases a Shield Portable style device. I don't even need better specs. I want the left analog stick in the xbox position, the a/b/x/y buttons to feel like an xbox controller (rather than a PSP), and more internal memory.
Also since emulators aren't illegal why can't Nvidia create some exclusively for its Shield products. A top notch Dreamcast emulator would be quite the coup for Nvidia products (Reicast is still a while away from being top notch).
Well if it is K1 it is still a beast of a CPU that will be good for awhile. But either way ouya needs to be at or less then 100 bucks if it wants to have a shot against this and Razer forgeA lot of Android console haters here. With that said, I've been looking for all sorts of info on this machine. I have a good feeling about this console. I hate the damn controller but love the console. I love my OUYA but its time for a upgrade. I want PS360 ports mostly because I missed out on those consoles (which I don't regret). As long as those ports are priced 19.99 and under, I'm game! I use OnLive with my OUYA but the service's current setup sucks. PlayCast is available on OUYA but their games list isn't as tempting. This could be the one. A console powerful enough to handle Android's best and still play AAA games. At the minimum, this should give the OUYA a chance to give us a K1 sequel. If that happens, I'll stick with OUYA's hardware. Either way, I'll have access to their UI and games on whatever hardware I choose. Additionally, I wouldn't mind K1 as it's as powerful as 360 and can handle 360 ports well. I have no need for 4K right now

Yeah I agree but only issue I feel for ouya (and Razer and Intel) is that they will not have the exclusive games like Nvidia has for the shield consoleI think between 130 and 150, with or without the controller would be fair. Another thing is that the next console needs at least two USB 2.0 ports for controllers and, two 3.0 ports for a HDD and camera. I HATE with a passion, only having one full sized port and a micro USB that can only be used for ADB.
*takes off DK2 headset* did someone say Dolphin? I love abusing the opportunity to brag about the miracle of Dolphin VRNow this could be interesting for dolphin.

Maybe because the few consoles that actually arrived to market were a massive disappointment?A lot of Android console haters here.
This is just an assumption but maybe the reason why Nvidia didn't announce a Shield Tablet 2 is because the X1 is too power hungry. I own a Shield Tablet and even the K1 drains the battery incredibely fast. So they thought, heck, lets ditch the display and make a console off it.

To be honest what you described is what I do since I got my ps3 in 13. But the issue is that their are things that consoles like this are better for such as streaming, emulation, and other things. Also their is the fact I'm assuming these games will be 1080p as opposed to 720p that most of those consoles have. Not exactly. It's more of a "why do we need YET ANOTHER console with a closed gaming market?" kind of thing.
Not that it really matters...if it's great at streaming your PC toward the television and the bluetooth works fine, it can run the most craptacular linux version available for all I care.
Just out of curiosity: why don't you just go to a local game shop? About a year ago, I picked up a 2nd hand xbox360 for 100€, and roughly all games I wanted for it (gears of war, bayonetta, halo, red dead redemption) for about 5-10€ each. If that's all you want, you can already get it...and quite a bit cheaper at it.
Why not just get a ps3 or 360 now? They're about the same price, and there's no worrying about what will be ported then. Seems like it would be a much easier solution to that issueA lot of Android console haters here. With that said, I've been looking for all sorts of info on this machine. I don't understand why you dismiss the easier option in favor of the more expensive options that do what you desire in a worse fashion. There's stubbornness and preference, and then there's just stupidity. I honestly can't figure out what logic goes into spending hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on Android based equipment hoping for more than sub par AAA game support just for the maybe that you'll be able to play last gen games, especially when last gen consoles and games have gotten so cheap.I see a lot of people asking me why dont I get a PS360. Short answer, I dobt want one. Kristianity77 stated most of my points. I just like the Android OS and the versatility of Android apps better when it comes to home entertainment.
