Someone else did, I thought this was his project.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I have the SDK and am only asking for help, no use in making fun.

Well its technically pirated content unless you paid there developer fee and got files sent straight to you from them and I have no idea how to use it sorry was just pointing out that you are asking for help to use an official nintendo SDK that you didn't pay for and if you did you would be breaking their NDA development clause where it states you cannot use those tools for anything other than strictly developing games for the wii u otherwise they can sue you up the ass

Just a warning, if you decide to take the route of installing apps packed with NUSpacker to sysNAND, don't launch the app without Maschell's patches present. Otherwise, the app will softlock the console with an error message, forcing you to reboot.

KevinX8, if you are so worried about piracy, why are you even on this site? I'm not asking to download the SDK, or even to pirate games, I'm asking for instructions on how to use a program that was built not by Nintendo, but by a developer. If you don't know how to use it than why waste time with useless prattling?

I'm not worried about privacy your just asking the wrong place, NUS Packer was created with the purpose of bypassing the need for the official SDK as it is more open source and no need to go to shady sites to find. Is there a reason why you can't just use NUS Packer or are you determined to use the SDK?

I found this on this post, it said it was version 5 and was able to make games region free. I thought that this is the same as nuspacker but version 5.

A newbie here, I'm wondering if there's a way to replace the subtitles of Zero Nuregarasu no Miko (Fatal Frame V) for the version USA/EUR using WiiUInstallerPackerV5?

Maybe it can be replaced using wupclient, I don't know.

NO NO MORE QUESTIONS ABOUT NINTENDO SDK ENOUGH
please just use NUS packer which is on the goddamn thread we are talking on
about your question, first identify the files that are actually the subtitle files extract them from your source version and reinject them with wupclient because contenthax :D

Soo... not to be a bother but I have a new fun little issue. My repacked vc installs finally!... as update data. I'm sure it has something to do with the apptype but I can't seem to find any information on that...

Make sure your custom title ID begins as 00050000 and not 0005000E use another VC titles files as base and just modify them appropriately

It does. That was the first thing I double checked actually. It is only in meta.xml and app.xml right?
Did you make your XMLs from scratch or use another titles as base? I recommend using another titles and just editing that instead of making it from scratch and possibly making alot of mistakes

i edited another titles. Yoshi's Island DS actually. From what I can tell it should all be right.
well if you used yoshi's island's files then it would make no sense that it would turn into an update 0_o what wup cfw and installer did you use?

Maschell's fork for cfw, repackaged the wup with NUSPacker, installed with WUP Installer MOD Y. I at least know part of the meta is right because the icon and name are both correct. It just installs as update data.

Edit: Sorry I actually used New Super Mario Bros as a base. I compared the app.xml and they had different apptypes which didn't make sense since that should be the same if they are both ds vc...
