Hardware Nunchuck turning pink?

Strange reports are starting to appear from people claiming that the cable and analog stick on the Wii Nunchuck attachment are turning pink. As of now, it seems that this is possibly only an issue with recently purchased Nunchuck attachments (as the people claiming to have this happen seem to have gave them as Christmas gifts).

Super Mario Galaxy secret message in its title was "ur a gay" and now nunchuck that turn gayish pink, think logically

I thought I was just seeing things... Mines turned pink :/ (I got a Wii for Christmas- that explains some of it) Eh, I like it. As long as it's not like going to kill me I'm fine...

EDIT: It is funny.

But anyway only the cord is faint pink.

Don't really understand why they would turn pink...scientifically it doesn't make sense to me.

First the piss-yellow DS Lite R + L buttons...now pink nunchucks

Probably something to do with underlying plastic being used. They probably have layers of paint and somehow it's come off revealing a layer of pink.

No idea why it's pink. Maybe they needed more Nunchucks and they had some pink ones that were going to be used this year and decided to spray over the pink.

If we read the whole thread, apparently some people had orange ones, I'm not sure who exactly to believe, expect Kotaku or 1up to pick up the story and then NoA will announce something.

If it's pink in the middle it's cooked too little. Suprised these haven't turned up on ebay as "rare pink" or "rare orange"
