Fission has not been "made available to the public", and yet it's used around the world. Your comment is meaningless.

what i mean is the public will not be getting their energy from this source. its certainly not meaningless, its a reference to conspiracy and the ways of the world as they are today. they are controller by the biggest money holding corporations and government. companies want to "go green" but no one wants to make less money, now do they? i don't blame them for it, i would do the same, but the point stands as is.

Sorry bro, it doesn't exactly work that way. If I invent a new processor technology, I'm not going to shot up in my home by Intel gunmen. If the technology is viable, they'll want in, not to keep me out. Electric cars are not the norm, because they are slower, and far more inconvenient to power. Wind, Solar, hydro and geothermal power have not been used to great success... because it is much more costly and less efficient than other methods like coal, despite being cleaner. Not because British Petroleum is blowing up the wind turbines.

I was initially thinking of enthalpy and Hess' law, which doesn't apply to nuclear fusion.
