Gaming NTSC-J Slim, a couple of questions...

Hi, currently have the option to buy a Xbox360 Slim, NTSC-J (im currently traveling japan). Anyway, I do have now a Xbox360 Ex-Pro probably baned, and I really want a live option. I mean, one xbox would be for seeing before I buy and the Slim is for purchasing.
Anyway, the xbox I have now is NTSC-J as well (bought in hong kong), what I really want to know is if Slim acts as my NTSC-J acted, by meaning of the region games and region free games, and english lang support etc.
Is it even different except the looks?

its really just cosmetic differences
all the system software is the exact same, meaning region locked

The xbox I have now can play region free games etc and some euro/us games (and it supports english on NXE...) all I need to know if the Slim works like that the same way^^
