Hi everyone again!
As you may know, I previously made a simple CDN downloader named eXhop, which was a simple console app using Rei's BogInstaller's downloading functions. Later I released eNXhop, which was the same app bit with a proper UI, despite being still a bit poor.
This time, I'm making this thread as I'm working on the next app following this kind of downloaders: NSPower! (whose name is based on CIAngel's name's idea)
This time this won't just be another CDN downloader, as it will have more features:
- CDN downloads are now performed with ticket and cert, like FreeShopNX does, but as they are already included no need of any external files.
- No more title lists are required, as now titles are got from databases from the internet at loading the app. Also more info about titles will be displayed: minimum firmware, product code, region, author, size... even their icon!
- The UI has been improved. As always it's based on the base theme Horizon has, but with some other extras, such as toggle menus. CustomUI will get updated with a new release with all those changes.
- Many people are asking me to fix NXPlay, but I've decided to leave that project, because I want to mix NSPower and NXPlay and add an audio player (and future video player) as another option in NSPower, to make it more a multipurpose tool.
- Another feature I'm adding to NSPower is a title manager. Browse installed titles and delete those which you're tired of, like FBI has on 3ds systems. It will also be able to launch titles! (Despite system titles and applets don't seem to work)
- Another option FBI has is NAND/SD filesystem browsing, and I'm also adding that. It will only have the option to dump files from NAND as it's dangerous to operate with this internal partitions. SYSTEM, USER and SAFE partitions will be browsable, along with SD card.
As you can see, this project is way bigger than eNXhop, and I'm already working on it. All the features mentioned above will almost surely appear on the first proper release. If you have any ideas, be free to submit them here or on my discord server (I'm online almost every day): https://discord.gg/Qqnndqd
There's no ETA for his app, as I want to perform various tests and so much stuff needs do be added. Anyway, one of the nros I made for discord testers, which downloads and parses title lists plus also downloads titles, I've decided to upload it as a very early beta version. It uses console as the UI is still under development, but it looks like it works ok: https://github.com/XorTroll/NSPower/releases/latest
This beta is more like a PoC, showing some basic NSPower's features. As I said before, this is a very early beta, so expect errors or fails. Use it at your own risk, and be aware of any bans, although ban risk using NSPower is still uncertain.
Anyway, hope you like this project!
