How do we apply these ppf patches? Do we need to extract the main.dol with wiiscrubber, then ppf patch it for our region, then re-insert it? Or does this ppf just patch the Qwiff iso?

This patch won't even apply without errors, do you mind just telling us how you changed the main.dol instead? or a link to the page that discusses this?

No, that's a different patch, doesn't work on d2ckey.

vki said yesterday "the patch currently floating around(9421FFD0 - > 4E800020) doesn't work on all chips, i have a working one"

Then he made this ppf with the new patch but it errors when I try to patch the iso. I just want to know what he patched and I'll do it manually.

How is this different than the previous patch since the previous one also worked fine from the Disc Channel with Wiikey V1 and Trucha IOS53 and SysMenu IOS? This new patch still requires those things so I don't see how they can portray this one as "better" or easier to use!

Anyone?

It worked. The main thread should be updated for d2ckey users or any other users who are having problems.

I patched the proper pal release but forgot to remove the update so I had to load it via gecko to bypass it but the game is working fine, no neogamma or uloader needed. I already had ios53 and the menu trucha patched, I guess this needs to be done too.

I can't get it to work. I've a D2CKEY too.
After patching the dol, I burned the ISO.

This is what I did with Trucha Bug Restorer:
Downgraded IOS15
Applied bug to IOS36 menu
Used DOP-IOS MOD (IOS36) mod to install and patch IOS53.
Restored IOS15.

Game didn't work. It doesn't appear on Game Channel (only the "?") nor in Neogamma or Geckos. Both still say: No disc in.
Thank you.

You have to patch the menu ios too, that's why it's not showing up, because the disk has been trucha signed.

For my 4.2 menu I had to trucha patch ios70, what is your menu version?

does this avoid the trucha and the d2ckey problems ?

What d2ckey problems? I have none

Me, I've a d2ckey and the most I've ever seen is a green screen. I've tried everything twice over. What did you do? Maybe it's the PAL version. I've tried the ind version, the scrub version, I've got the full 4.5 gig version now so going to try this patch with it, what patching program is everyone using?

I had already HBC installed. system menu 3.4u. No IOSs. Just installed neogamama and used a unpatched ISO.

Green screen is neogamma misconfiguration, or vidoe issues (NTSC x PAL)

Reposting summary, from @davepm:

Hardmod - You still need to use a loader!

Softmod - You CANNOT play from DVD!

Green Screen - Try a different loader!

Black/white/jumping - Learn to set your region settings properly!

Blacks Screen - Have you installed The IOS?

WiiScrubber - Partition bad - Make sure you have run the makekey.exe!

NTSC - Check the guide again as there is a new patch for QwiiF release.

Google ppf o matic to run these. You will need to extract main.dol with WiiScrubber to patch it. Then replace the main.dol and use the trucha and scrub buttons in WiiScrubber and I can confirm the disk works with my softmod only from disc channel.

@ ufa - this patch allows you play from DVD if done right. How do I know, because I'm loading it from DVD through the disc channel without a modchip.

@ xflak40 - I only have cIOS's 53 and 70 from cIOScorp 3.5 (used Wad Manager to install them) and I am running on 4.2U with Waninkokos cIOS249 v14.
