So I just bought a DS Lite and New Super Mario Brothers and the screen is jittery, mario's head and pipes flicker to different spots on the screen, sometimes and mario's head sometimes shows up in two places, I cant find anything about this on the internet so wtf is going on, has anyone even heard of this happening, is it supposed to happen? All my other ds games are working fine.

Its definitely not supposed to happen, sound like either the DS or game is faulty, dont know which though.

Sounds like your cart is either
A) Not a real cart, you might have gotten fooled and bought a pirated cart. Not very probable.
