Hacking NSMB DS AK2 mingames?

I have an AceKard 2 on a DS lite, with AKAIO 1.8.5. New Super Mario Bros. (0434) works just fine except for the minigames. When that it started it gives black screens. My sister told me it has worked before, but....
I've tried holding (A) when starting it, turning off download play and all cheats and holding (A), and everything else I can think of...any help?

It works on my DStwo and my sister's R4 with the latest wood, but I can't get it working on AK2 AKAIO 1.8.5.

You using 1.8.5a? If so, try downgrading that.

I know that the original AK2(i) firmware couldn't load minigames when DS Download Play was on, but AKAIO fixed that.

IMO, just get a better multiplayer game.
