I'll pass until it gets a stable release, to install a new stage 1/2 do I need the OTP in the folder? plailect guide doesn't clarify about this.

probably not if you are running a9lh already. but just in case, I would but my otp.bin in the a9lh folder.

That's all you got to do to boot without an SD card? wouldn't you need to install a different stage1/2?
He just installed a9lh so he is already running a build that can use a9lh.bin from nand. If your not updated then use
https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Updating-A9LH
I have A9LH v2 and I copied arm9loaderhax.bin to the NAND root with Godmode9 but it acts like it normally does and doesn't turn on without the SD card.
You have to update a9lh or it won't work. Just because you have v2 doesn't mean it is the latest. Update with https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Updating-A9LH

A9lh that can do that is stable. Luma is nightly only as of right now/

I recently updated luma, i have the latest 6.3.1, my A9LH is v2. Like I said, i'm just waiting for the -nocfw- brand to get stable before updating a9lh+luma in CTRnand

One last question, switching to this version of a9lh will still allow me to have the payload on the SD card? arm9loaderhax.bin. I'm guessing it does something like >>> Look in CTRNAND for arm9loaderhax.bin, if it doesn't find it, >>>> look at SD card root for arm9loaderhax.bin

Am i right?
It prioritizes sd card first. If no sd is found the it goes to ctrnand.
