I tested out off all games Mortal Kombat Trilogy and that one refuses to run at full framerate (not speed, different things) with stuttering including, also it slows down during round transitions, looks ugly.

ClayFighter Sculptor Cut seems to work at full speed but still slowdown in some parts with the occassional frame stutter

Clayfighter 63 1/3 runs at fullspeed but framerate stutters at random and has missing background effects at times.

Kille rInstinct Gold has missing background effects like the fire at the title and select screens and stuttery framerate, full speed tough.

Banjo Kazooie seems to work at full speed with occassional micro stutter but effects like the beginning Jigsaw effect and the pause screen underblur dont work and create graphical garbage.

Also i noticed screen is stretched out wider then it should be, making for some ugly overscanning on my TV.

Bleh, also i was playing some Banjo Kazooie and after 15 minutes or so, BAM, SUSTAIN NOTE SOFTLOCK, making me turning off the Wii via the remote.

HATE THAT SHIT!

Update: after letting it rest for 1 hour, i started again and so far it still plays and hasnt softlock in anyway shape or form, but i swear, I DO NOT LIE ABOU THIS THINGS!, and please dont brush me off with the whole ''WERKS4MII'' flaccidness, IT HAS HAPPENED AND CONTINUIES TO HAPPEN TO ME!

Is it a thing with different Wii Models?

If you could specify which kind of softlock and where it happens, people might be able to help you. but honestly with Banjo-Kazooie, get any Xbox from X360 onwards and you can play a much better controlling, running and looking version of the game (same for Tooie, and much more for Perfect Dark, a little more for the leaked GoldenEye with community patcher, Conkers Bad Fur Day in Rare Replay, or the decent remake; the other Rare titles that arent Nintendo IP also in Rare Replay). for the Nintendo IP ones, just get the VC versions on Wii, and DK64 on Wii U...

About the Wii64 compatiblity list: if a system operator can, they could please add the HUD being invisible in Spacestation Silicon Valley, only when you go in the close camera mode, the HUD may appear under certain angles, it hass a lesser priority to the level geometry.

This! I noticed this some time ago. It seems like a small problem but it actually makes the game unplayable. Managing your special move meter is critical!

I wish I knew how to fix it, because it seems simple. The HUD is still there, it is just drawn beneath everything else.

I'm testing different Wii64-Rice versions now, maybe one of them has it fixed
I managed to beat the first 3 levels, but later ones might be impossible. another huge issue is, that 2 things from the emu dont work only in this game: going back to the emu menu with the button combo just does nothing instead; and loading a save state just crashes the system. (you can go back to the menu with the Wii's reset button too, that's how I was able to test this)

Hi all, when I download the latest version of Not64, there is two .dol files and a data.iso file. Are these necessary to run the emulator? It's my understanding that I just need the latest boot.dol and meta.xml file. Thanks.

not64.dol and data.iso i think it's only needed if you want to run in the GameCube.

what "edit" do you mean, skx7 ?
anyway, I was able to complete Spacestation Silicon Valley at 100% (except the bonus minigame level I guess), with some patience it's definitely doable

I remember KI Gold running at a smooth locked 60fps if you have it set to counter factor 1 although it's been a while since I last tried it. It's still not ideal though since the broken graphics don't look very nice even if it is technically fully playable

So, according to an injector list, SS Silicon Valley works decently in MK64 WAD, however still slightly worse than Wii64-Rice. I tested it :)

Not64: huge graphics glitches, pretty much unplayable; HUD is fully visible iirc; menu stuff is visible
MK64 injection: less graphics glitches, especially less missing ingame graphics/fx, but menu graphics are partially missing completely, the purple collectible tokens are seen through any geometry, and their counter graphic is missing in the menu, HUD for health and powers is only visible less than first half of the length
Wii64-Rice: geometry graphics glitches, cutscenes graphics bugged, ship is invisible except for the crashed one in the first level, HUD has lesser priority than geometry - still the most playable way overall though!

Hi, is there a Wii Rice 1.2 or Wii Rice 1.3 update? I play Smash Remix on that emulator, and I think it runs better than on NOT64, but there hasn't been an update for years. It would be great to be able to play Smash Remix properly on the Wii. Thanks! :D

Not really. You'd be 3 layers deep in abstraction hell trying to translate dynamically generated GLSL shaders.
hey extrems i see you released a new not64 version when i try it on my wiiu i redownloaded the files twice menus have no font i can move and see the spaces but nothing is wrote on it, am i missing a font file somewhere? or is this a wiiu issue? or its a bad file on the release?

I haven't tested it on the Wii U, and I'm not sure what could've broken it there.
In case this is fixable in another release, some games exhibit graphic regressions. (Wii)

Extreme-G and Extreme-G 2 show very pixelated graphics at the start of a race. Last working release was 20241120, though Extreme-G 2 worsened since 20250205. Turok, Turok 2, Turok 3, and Turok Rage Wars do this too, last time it didn't was 20250202. Not sure how many other 3D games may have new problems as I mostly only test with a handful of the same games that I tend to play when new Not64 releases are out, looking for fixes or improvements.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy does slowdown at the start of a Round, at the start of a fatality, and at the rounds fade transition. I think this was less pronounced in 2022 builds, but I did notice it still struggles a bit to maintain 60 fps, more noticeable while playing with Cyber Smoke.

Would it be possible to upgrade the controller profiles to 99, or 9? These are incredibly useful for the many weird button configurations used in N64 to be adjusted for traditional controllers.

You could've mentioned you're using 240p. I was very confused.

Oh god, you just made me stumble on a wacky hardware quirk.
