Hello all, sorry to annoy you with these type of questions, but its safer then bricking my wii.

I have a NTSC-U D2CKEY modded wii, i have the latest firmware, i even did the full update and live with duplicate channels to play SSBB.

When i put super paper mario in, it asks me if id like to update, and im not sure if i should do this. Maybe you guys have some advice? Thank you in advance

it asked me for an update when i wanted to play mario strikers PAL
i accepted and when it reached 70% i powered off my wii ( took out the power source .. err i dunno if that even a word ? )
then it went fine
that might work with ya

Guys, read the topic title before answering:He says that he is trying PAL Super Paper Mario on US Wii.This game is known to brick your wii if it's not your region.Patch it with BrickBlocker

It is not Paper Mario related, but Update related......
But i own a PAL Wii and got the PAL version of BWii (Battalion Wars II).

It contains an update, but this can also be safely done too?

It's generally advised to use the version of a game from your system's region when possible.

Unless you need those extra languages, running PAL Super Paper Mario on an NTSC Wii isn't very productive.

I played super paper mario the game fine when I first downloaded the ISO & burnt, after using brickblocker Super Paper Mario and burning again, It just doesn't work on my wii

it's NTSC same region as me

Its just an all around smarter thing to just stay at 3.2 with starfall, but if you WANT to update that bad, then you shouldn't have a problem unless its from another region.

If the game is NTSC and so is your Wii then there is no reason to brickblock it. Brickblocking is only for games that aren't your region. That's why theres the read info on iso, to show you what region the game is.

I ran Wii update manager 1.2 on it, And for some reason It says

Analyse: "Not in the database"
Risk: "different region than you, MUST brick block"
region says "NTSC USA(E)"

comment: The update zone don't match the ISO zone !!!

Seems a bit shady to run. it came from a source I don't really trust either

BTW, Thanx for the fast replies.. Fast around here I see
