Hacking Not Another "exception occured" Thread

Excuse my ignorance, wisemen of this community. I searched all over google and through out the forums to find the answer to my problem but I cannot find the solution with this kind of problem.

I have an good old fashion 3ds version 9.4.0-21U

I wanted to install a CFW and followed the 3ds.guide methods STEP-BY-STEP (with the latest releases as mentioned).

everything was going fine and I was able to access the homebrew channel using soundhax (as it is compatible with my 3ds) and I was about to begin the finish up touches according to the guide.

For some reason my 3ds restarted (not sure if that was suppose to happen) and I tried to access the homebrew channel with soundhax.

The soundhax theme appears and seconds later, BOOM... this appeared

this happens everytime I try soundhax that only worked successfully ONCE to me when I first doing the CFW installation. I can still access Luma 8.1.1 by pressing select during boot-up.

how do i escape this loop, guys? I know my 3ds is not completely bricked since I can still play my cartridges.

If you have Luma working, can't you just install the hblauncer cia? At what step are you in the guide?

If you're already running Luma then you can't use Soundhax due to the nature of the exploit and Luma's exception handlers. Either install the HBL CIA or set a launcher entry with Rosalina.

Pretty sure you overlooked this part that I'm summing up

1. Open Download Play
2. Press L, D-PAD DOWN, and SELECT at the same time
3. Go to Miscellaneous Settings
4. Set hb title default (Or something like that..)
5. Close and re-open the app, tada

EDIT; Oh, guide also says to update your system before doing that part. AFAIK it's not necessary but do it so you keep following the guide word-for-word

thank you guys for responding. the solution was a mix of all of your suggestion. I ignored soundhax for now and used rosalina by going to download play. I will come back again once my installation is complete.

I kept the wifi ON as indicated.

I tried opened the udsploit first, pressed START, went to the r27 safehax goes to "exception occured" message

so I tried the r19 safehax release this time, then my screen froze with white streaks.

my 3ds still seems functional at this point but now I dont know what is going again. Im so sorry guys.

Safehax is for when your console is not yet hacked. Echoing the above, what are you doing?

Exploits make your device crash in order to work, but when you have luma it just throws an error code.

If you can load Rosalina then you already have B9S installed.
Hold SELECT while booting the system and just start the guide from here (The tail end of https://3ds.guide/installing-boot9strap-(homebrew-launcher)
