Gaming Not Admin. Want to keylog to get admin password

Here is the plan.... Get some paint that will show up with a black light but cant be seen with the naked eye... Get it on his fingers somehow... Then trick him into typing the password then kick him out and use the black light. congrats you have spied yourself an admin password....

The problem is, you don't know which order it's in. Say the password was 8 characters long. That makes 40,320 possible combinations.

Well many people usually use names or words they can remember so that decreases the number of possible combinations. Also I was kidding.

what if he goes on to type more than that?

That is why you have to get him out of the room right away so he does not have a chance to type anymore. A good diversion is start the house on fire.

OKwhy cant you just break a bowl with dinner in it.... or break an expensive vase oh make your mum accidently cut her hand wile cutting chilli's?

here's what i would do.

nag him. not for the password, but to keep entering the password for small tasks. say you need something installed for school and ask him to enter his password. screw up the installation and tell him you need him to enter password again, repeat until he's frustrated being your own personal password keeper and eventually he'll give it to you.

i tried ophcrack live cd and usb and it wont boot. i cant use cmd cause to alter passwords you need admin passs. now i need a keylogger bionary so i can use it withought installation so i can nab his password the old fashion way haha help please

If you can get into regedit, i can show you another way...

Go to the registry editor, find this path

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]


Find this command, and set it to 1.

"AutoAdminLogon"="1"

Now if you log in on any account on the machine, it's in ADMIN mode.

if it's XP try rebooting into safe mode(F8 on startup) and when the login prompt appears type in "Administrator" *case sensetive with no password. If it logs in you have full admin access. Just go to the control panel -> user accounts and change your account type

What kind of stuff are you trying to install? It might be worth looking into portable applications, instead of mucking around trying to hack in these will run straight from a USB stick without being installed on a PC. Assuming you're allowed to run .exe files from a removable disc, that is...

If that didn't conince you, you could just try using a tiny little video camera to record what he types... if you got a webcam, you could use that XD

I assume most of you people never had to clean up messy PCs of computer illiterate people... and the direction of his keylogger question tends me to believe he's not the most computer literate person, either. Not that my voice counts anything here, but I say: don't help him.

hey asshole XD i know more about computer than you prob ever will haha (maybe cause i dont know that for sure lol) and my dad is a comp wiz himself. im just sick and tired of asking him to unblock this install that i mean that pisses me off so bad

Download fccu-linux from here and use the chntpw program from the terminal to delete any password on the Administrator/your dad's account. You want the top one.

Here is a tutorial to help you. Start from this line: "First you need to mount the drive."

wtf right? so i want to keylog my account so i can nab his password so i can change a few things. like if he logs in or something.
i cant install anything so can someone install a keylogger temporaraly on there computer and get the program files and put them in a zip or rar so i can get his password? it would be much appriciated!!!!! thanks

How has he given you a laptop, when he is the one that has control of what you install? Sounds like its more his laptop than yours.

We shouldn't undermine his authority like this, since the OP mentioned his dad is a computer-wiz shows he knows what he's doing. And he secured the computer, maybe, because he knows his son!
