Hello, when ever I try to put customer firmware on my 2Ds running 11.6 I get to the a step where I am supposed to install and delete all CIA files through FBI. However I continuously get this error:
Failed to Install CIA File
Result Code : 0xC8E08001
Level : Status (25)
Summary: Invalid Argument (7)
Module: AM (32)
Desc: <Unknown> (1)
Im just wondering if there is a way to go forward with FBI or am I just kind of screwed.

  1. Turn off the 2DS. Turn it back on and hold (Select) button to access Luma3DS configuration. As seen in the green box from this example picture, what version is yours?

2. Turn off the 2DS again, and Remove the SD card. Examine if the slider switch on the SD card is not set to the lock position.

3. Insert the SD card into the computer. Check how much free space is available.

Not knowing the status of your SD card...

4. Copy everything off the SD card onto the computer.
5. Reformat the card in FAT32 + 32 KB cluster size with either Windows File Explorer or guiformat (if it's bigger than 32 GB).
6. With it empty, do a full Write + Verify Test with H2testw. Do not skip this step.
7. If the card passes, delete the *.h2w test files.
  • :!: If an error was reported, stop the test. Replace the hardware failed card. Go back to step 4 or 5.
    • Discrete error points: Failed NAND cell(s)
    • Continuous error stream: false capacity or fake card ¦ Data or files may have been corrupted.
    • Instantaneous test passing: Card has died and entered Read-Only mode.

Further instructions will be provided depending what steps 1, 3, and 7 reveal.
