yes, the laser knows the difference between an original and copied DVD, so it may last at least 2-months before it stops working.

So hopefully you bought another Wii system for backup.

no really--- just don't buy cheap DVD's and the lens won't have to work as hard reading them, and also don't burn them at a high speed.

if i follow your advice, will my wii be broken in two months anyway?
i dont want a broken wii.
What should i do?
Oh god. xDD!
No, there's no threat for your Wii, only the fatigue of the optical laser, but the laser can be cleaned with a Dvd for clean, you can find it in Internet. The other way is to open your Wii and clean the optical laser by hand, but if you are'nt an expert i don't advise to do it.

your wii will not break if you have good burns... just try to burn at half the speed of max of the dvd... dont buy cheap dvds... and If your that concern I suggest buying a new burner

Do you know what the word "joke" mean?

seriously, I dont think a wii would break in 2months because you have bad media. I think it would take WAY LONGER than that. Plus wii lens are only 50bucks, jeez think of all the money you already saved.

Offtopic, but just by reading the title I already knew that you were either a Portuguese or Spanish speaker

'duda' translates into 'question' in your title's case

Although im dominican (and my english is really bad), I know what means "Joke". After that, I said: "Jesus, you scared me to death".

i have to ask Ledah, wtf does your sig mean?

My signature is a Platon Quote (except for the red word xD). Plato was a greek philosopher, student of Socrates and teacher of Aristotle, (famous for his work "The Republic").

LOL, i was going to make a question, but i started with a "I wonder..."
xDD

If you really that terrified that your Wii laser lens will burn up and fry because your using dvd "backups", you shouldn't be using the "backups"... use a REAL disc (that means, go out and buy the game).

That goes for anyone scared of modding the Wii, and want 7 people to verify something for you. If your not willing to take the risk the first time (or in the case of the laser, at all), you shouldn't be willing to risk it ever.

The Wii laser is the same kind of laser in your xbox, or ps2... not the same drive, the same LASER eye...

It will wear out eventually, when is the question... 2 weeks, 2 years, 2 decades, 2 millennium? who knows!

I have Kodak discs- are they classed as good discs?

And anyway, if your lens does 'burn up', then remove the mod-chip (if you have a Wii-Clip...) and send it back to Nintendo saying that Brawl won't play. Simple.
