When running the backup launcher with boom blox most of the time it will freeze at the loading screen, but if the there's a rare chance it will pass that screen and the game will run fine.
My question is how can i ensure that 9 times out of ten i will get past this screen?
Are my burning methods at question?

Now I am checking out SoftMii, but before going ahead I am comparing the differences between SoftMii and EoC's guide.
One of the difference is that EoC uses Custom IOS Downgrader v1.2 from Waninkoko , whereas SoftMii uses tona's AnyRegionChanger.
Can anyone tell me what the differences are between these two ways of downgrading?

I know i'm going to have to use Zelda when I can get my hands on it, but it still leaves me curious about the other possibilities.
Well you are going to wait tooooooo long before they release another exploit, comex has another exploit already in testing and so far it works great, but again, no release till zelda is completely blocked, when will that happend....??? who knows...??![]()
I used EoC's guide to downgrade my Wii to 3.2.QUOTE said:I read all of these threads and they tell you to download this and download that but they don't give you the links to any of those, where are we supposed to find it? All I'm trying to do is using the HBC to launch the backuplauncher.
What do you need exactly, all can be find thru a google or GBATemp search, there is only a few pages to search for apps:
GBATemp download section
wiibrew.org
www.teknoconsolas.es (this one is in spanish but I think you can post in english and people will try to help you anyway)
for the backup launcher you need to find WiiGator's blog and read entirely the post about the Gamma Launcher, there you'll find the cIOS needed for it to work and the launcher to load the game discs

Which backup-launcher are you using?
Surprised I can actually answer this one.JJBro1 said:Do backups have longer loading times than originals? And what is softmii?

Backups run at 3x speed and will be half as slow as retail discs which run at 6x speed. There is usually not lag but the loading time IS longer, as you may have thought. I think there was a discussion recently on how DVDs ran at 3x speed because the Wii was intended to play DVDs before and the speed was set to 3x.

I am on 3.2E (ARC installed) I have HBC & Starfield (with skip update option) so IF i run the update will my Firmware be upgraded or JUST these 2 channels? If I use a PAL game from around the time of 3.2E with the Starfall check OFF would this simply re-install them properly?
You will need Pikmin (PAL) or update from Wii Settings, but this last will update yur FW, nothing bad cause you can use cIOS and IOS downgraders to return to 3.2
Just to confirm, if I use Pikmin I'll stay on 3.2E (really dont want to do any more just now) if it aint broke I could break it, m8 u r a star thanks..
Just an update to let ya'll know I managed to do this with success from http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=130026, all good. Many thanks for the help on this excellent forum again.
For info you only need the 2 main files:
CODERVL-Forecast_EU-v7.wad.out.wad
RVL-News_EU-v7.wad.out.wad

Though you are still able to use it, 3.4 is a bad firmware to begin with. So don't update, and stay with 3.2.

so there is no way to cut down the loading times of backups? Do you think there will be a way in the future?ResilientNight said:Surprised I can actually answer this one.JJBro1 said:Do backups have longer loading times than originals? And what is softmii?![]()

SoftMii is a cSM which incorporates CIOScorp (play Wii or GC backup games from the disc channel), allows the disc channel to be moved to wherever you want, takes away the Wii menu BGM, region free channels, diagnostic menu (recovery) when pressing the Y-button on the GC controller in port 1, customizable health screen, auto-boot any disc in recovery mode, PreLoader 0.28 is installed, copy save files that usually cannot be copied to SD card (for example, the ones with friend codes such as Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, and Rock Band 2), allows the Wii to have themes, and much more! (lulz) You can find it at http://www.softmii.org.
(I sounded like a complete advertiser there. ._.)
