Hey guys I'm new here and excited to learn new stuff from the more experienced people around here.

So as most joining a forum, i'm here because for the life of me I can't make some games run on my switch-e

A Little background, I bought a used switch on OFW version 5.0, I updated thru the ChoiDujour method to 6.2.
I'm using a 256gb Sd samsung U3 (yes I bought it from Amazon and checked is real) on Fat32 format (heard exFat is bad on switch since it gets corrupted easily is this true?)

Im using also atmosphere 0.8.3 and loading NSPs thru gold leaf via USB. (getting the game on .xci and using 4NXCI to convert to NSP.

NOW... I have several games running not problem but for the life of me ZBOTW and FiFa19 I can't seem to make them run. they get stuck on the loading screen (with the Nin logo on the top left and the switch on the bottom right) from there I have to either force to turn off the console or if i wait long enough i get the message that there was an error.

I have tried to install ignoring the FW version of the NSP and also not ignoring it. on both the SD and the NAND storage all no go.

I have tried several downloads and none seem to work. I also got the sig patches for atmosphere 0.8.3 but still no go....

Any ideas would be very welcome and really appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your time guys.

There's a good chance you have a corrupt game or updates installs.

Do all of them behave this way, or just a few?

Avoid the USB while figuring out what's wrong and try to install by copying the NSP to the SD card, and then installing using goldleaf.

Report back with results, please :)

Hi thank you for the reply. Now one question for me to install from the sd card directly, do I need to re-update to 6.2 allowing for exfat?
So I can upload files bigger than 4gb onto the sd? (Just to remind you I'm running on regular fat32)

Also is tinfoil any better than gold leaf?

Thank you for your help.

My apologies for taking too long to reply.

Using ChoiDujourNX, you can update to 6.2 with exfat support. I can't imagine a scenario where I'd want a firmware version without exfat support :)
So, yeah, you should do that :)
(It's quick and easy, if you're already on 6.2)

I'd use GoldLeaf instead of Tinfoil. There's fans for each of the applications, but the (regular version of) tinfoil
and GoldLeaf are developed and maintained by the same developer (XorTroll), and GoldLeaf if the only one being updated.
On Firmware 6.2, I'm using GoldLeaf 0.3 without any issues. 0.4 has a issue when installing updates, so avoid it. I haven't tested GoldLeaf 0.5 yet.

I hope this helps! :)
