Hacking Noob; how to play games installed

Hi,

I paid someone to install hackmii using smash brothers. They then checked to see if the modd worked by using a memory stick that had Super Mario Brothers Wii. They told me that once I went home and downloaded games on to my own memory stick I had to an update or something.

Can some please tell me how to view/play games after I add them onto my memory stick?

Are you using a Wii or Wii u/vWii ?
