Hacking noob ? about ios

hay guys
got my friends wii just fixed it from a semi brick. i want to make sure he has all the rite ios's and all the old bad ones deleted and also the most upto date menu shopping channel. ect. plus homebrew the newest system menu

here are my ?
1.is there an app or a guide to install all the rite ios's
2. should they be trucha bug patched or not and why?
3 should i delete all the old custom ios that he has installed at random points or just overwrite them.. i wanna make sure his system is perfect as can be.

1. You could use UNCORP. Requires cIOS rev10+ installed.

3. You can uninstall some of them, if you don't need them. I would leave at least one alive.

just use dop ios to install all the right ios's I don't think it'll let you install a stubb of anything don't delete anything to do with IOS's and cIOS's always overwrite

check out wiibrew and try getting nus downloader just never delete ios 70 if ur on v4.2 and ios 60 if ur on 4.0 to 4.1 if u do so u will kill ur wii most common ios are 38,55,56,58,61

you could use pimpmywii 1.31 for updating ios and channel it let you choose if u wanna patch them or not

I depends on what stsyem menu you have and if you have preloader installed??

the only one's i patch are 36 both patches and 60 for system menu 4.0+4.1 and 70 for 4.2 don't want to be a "pokemon softmodder" gotta patch them alll

still up to you what ios you want to be trucha patched...you can install using dop-iosall ios update without trucha except for ios36 and ios60 like longtom said.

ok i got 70 patch........... the reason why im doing all this is so i can use anytitle deleter without errors i keep getting 1017.... i need to delete news/wether channel because i keep getting errors when i try to use them . eh but im still getting the error 1017 and im 95% sure i got all the ios rite

thanks alot guys got it all fig out after reformating i got news channel working but no weather. so i used pimp my wii installer to reinstall weather channels along with patch 70. then i used this guide Best Wii system guide (ios and system men. vers)
everything works perfect .. going to back up my nand now

so is it usefull to always have all ios up to date?

lets say i update them all, they all would propably need to be trucha patched, for playing disc backups, right?
but if i play from USB, ios 36 & 60 patched would do the thing, as ios reload games are no problem at the moment?
