No nvme series x

I have purchased a series x without the nvme for $20 figured why not. Now... is there a way to add one without the original one to clone from? Thanks in advance

Not possible yet. No nvme = dead console

In the Xbox Series X schematic is visible there is a place on the southbridge board for a flash chip, which usually would have contain the per console data. This chip was never put to the board (My guess: due to cost cutting) and so this per console data was transfered to single partition on the internal SSD. If this partition is lost, atm the console is only good for parts like @DarkKnight_TJ wrote.
