Hacking No clear cut winning card

I don't own either cart so I can't say first hand, but comments have been made in these forums and in the reviews that the Acekard 2 and the CycloDS are a little "flimsy" compared to other carts. In other words, the plastic casing isn't as solid as on other carts or the cart is held together by clips that allow the cart to bend or flex more than other carts. That's not necessarily a problem, particularly if you keep your cart in the NDS most of the time, but it's worth noting.

I don't know why people are saying the CycloDS is flimsy, it's fine, I've purchased 2 (a 2nd gen White and a 4th gen Black) and haven't had ANY troubles with EITHER. It's just a matter that only those people that have problems bitch about them, so the dozen or so people are complaining while everyone else enjoys it.
I'd recommend that, just based off personal experience. Get that with a 3-in-1 from Real Hot Stuff, ship DHL, the whole thing should be less than $100 if you purchase a 4 gig MicroSD from NewEgg.

My SCDS1 SDHC is pretty neat. It feels to be built strong, and it is. There isn't a game that doesn't work (There was one, but the Supercard team fixed it instantly), and I have over a 100 games on my 8 gig card. The Menu wasn't as slow as I thought it would be, and it's actually faster than most people say. The only con about it is that a slower card would freeze quite often (I have a Sandisk card), and the old moonshell it uses. It's still easier than actually launching it as a homebrew, but they should really change it.

I was originally gonna buy the Cyclo, but due to it's price tag, I couldn't afford it. So, I bought the next best thing. Turns out, it's slightly better than the cyclo in feature wise, cheaper, and gets just as much support as the Cyclo. Well, in a matter of tew weeks, that can be changed (Cyclo just got Homebrew soft-reset).

Anyways, I'm happy with my purchase, and I'll recommend both Cyclo and SCDS1 SDHC.

How come a lot more people recommend the CycloDS or the Acekard RPG over the SCDS1? Is it the speed of the menu? Undoubtedly, the SCDS1 is much cheaper (it's only a little more expensive than the Acekard 2, Edge, and DSTT).

No, it's the HYPE. When someone asks for a flashcart, you can always see someone saying something like this: "OMGZ BUY CYCLODS IT OWNZ EVERYTHING EVEN AIR", or "BUY CYCLODS IT WILL EVEN MAEK U MOAR BEAUTIFULZ"

So everyone now's convinced it's the best. But SCDS One is clearly the winner, with its superior support ("OMGZ CYCLODS FORUMZ ARE SO GRAET") and more functions

I own a Cyclo because of the forums and the way they would reply to people and stuff. I thought that was cool. A flashcard is an investment, just $30 doesn't make too much a difference IMO if you just get what you want. I feel like the Cyclo is just better at what it has than the Supercard (not saying the Supercard is bad). They Cyclo keeps moving also it got an update two days ago

I'm strongly against fanboyism, and the SCDS1 and CycloDS are tied for my number one spot.

They both have great compatibility
They both have great features
They both have SDHC
They both have quick updates

The CycloDS costs more but the Supercard has more issues with slow cards.

I dunno as far as I am concerned I just got my black cycloDS last week, and if that doesnt work like a charm I really dont know what is... its really good and I am very glad I chose that

As far as I'm concerned, Acekard 2 is the best slot-1 cart available.

If you don't need RTS, its the one to get.

Read the thread better, there's no one saying it's not a good card. We were just debating about why the CycloDS Evo it's always "TEH OWNZORZ".

Read Bri's post above mine. AND below mine. Oh yeah, someone DID say it was flimsy. And I commented on THAT. You need to RTFT before you post. Clearly no one thinks the CycloEvo is a terrible card, I never said that. That trophy belongs to the DS-X and their awful excuse for a support team/forum. Most of the current gen of slot-1 cards are great, it's just a matter of what you need. And Team Cyclops have been awesome with supporting their cart, they answer my e-mails and they post on their own board to let you know what is going on, and what they are going to do with new updates.

But then again, I ask myself why I even brought this up to you. What's the point? Winning an argument online is like getting a gold medal in the Special Olympics.

Anywho, read reviews for the different cards. My personal advice would be to avoid clones, who knows what their support will be like in the future.
