So, I have used the unbanning method for MiiVerse (because I am a user of MiiVerse Custom Image Tool). I kept a backup of my nnidsave.bin, and now I am trying to use my old NNID, which is contained in nnidsave.bin. But, not only can I not access my old NNID, I can't even access the eShop with a brand new one. No matter what I always get the same error code. I have A9LH without emuNAND, my sysNAND is on 10.7. My main question is: Is there a way to still access the eShop, even if it means sacrificing my old NNID?

You do know that if a console gets several warnings/bans, then it gets banned, right? That's probably what you've got. It doesn't matter what NNID you link. The whole console is banned. But before we jump into conclusions, what's the error code?

You could also try the second part of the tutorial and change the Console ID by injecting the SecureInfo_A with Decrypt9, and see if you can get into the eShop. If that happens, you have a console ban.

But as you continue with this behavior (messing with Miiverse), you'll probably end with a ban on someone else's console too, if he/she's unlucky you put the same serial as his/her console.

I don't know why people even care about Miiverse anymore. Is too strict and broken.

Haha. Inject secure info a in the wrong nand and you might brick your console.

The file is rsa2064 protected against manipulation.

Emunand is save.

Yeah, I got a console ban and used the SecureInfo_A + nnidsave.bin to unban myself, but cannot get into the eShop. If I were to create an emuNAND and un-linked it from my sysNAND, would that emuNAND have access to the eShop? I'm more worried about that than anything else because I feel guilty when I pirate games, so I prefer to buy them.

EDIT: Nobody's going to have the same serial number. The last one I used was 13371337.

I wouldn't think so. Since emuNAND is just a copy of your sysNAND if sysNAND is band then emuNAND will be band as well... That's just what I think, anyway.

Another thought... Maybe you could get a loaner 3DS and do a sysNAND dump on it and try injecting it into your emuNAND using Decrypt9. As long as the loaner 3DS is clean, it should work. But again, I don't know.

Interesting question though. Worth a shot.

Alright, I'll try that out when I get the chance!

I'd help you out since I have a spare 3DS that will never use the eshop but my internet is garbage and would never be able to upload a 1.8GB NAND.bin file

The struggle of the boonies I suppose :(
That's okay, my sister never uses her spare 3ds, as she has another she prefers. When I see her next I could ask for it.

I don't think you'll have access again. Someone in the Anti-ban tutorial thread posted that it didn't work either, so maybe Nintendo has found a way to patch it?

Is that even able to work? I thought a nand dump was exclusive to the system it was obtained from.

You cannot use a NAND dump from another 3ds. NAND dumps are encrypted using hardware specific encryption keys.
More specifically, it will brick your system (well, your emuNAND) if you were to flash this on sysNAND.

Never flash a NAND backup from another 3DS.

I don't know where it came from, i think when i switched from gateway 4.2 to A9LH there was an out of region CIA installed. I can't see anything else that would have caused it. i can still get into the eshop and miiverse, but when i open friends list or try to use pokemon bank i get the restricted device 002-0102 screen. I tried the NNID unban and the console unban tutorials but neither worked so i just reverted both files back to their originals. so back in the same spot, most everything works, just not online games. I've removed most CIA games and reinstalled USA versions to make sure they are all USA. Hoping that in a month or so everything starts working again. I don't ever really play online so its not a big deal, but its just frustrating know that its banned haha.

Okay, the strangest thing just happened! I turned my 3ds on, and there was two of everything (I.E., two eShops, two StreetPass Mii Plaza's, two System Settings, etc.)! I rebooted and everything was still there, so I decided to run a clone, and my 3ds crashed, displaying your typical error screen, forcing me to hard reset. I have no idea what happened!

Contacted Nintendo and they said my device is on a temporary suspension. so i guess in a month or so it should be back working again. Wish i knew what caused it in the first place so i can prevent it from happening again.

did you do a region swap?
