Last week, Nintendo announced that they would be opening a registration for a beta testing for an upcoming Switch Online Playtest Program, with no details about what the actual playtest itself would be, and it was exclusive to users with the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.

However, upon registration to the program, one of the "important" points before finishing the registration was a specific point about not sharing, discussing or disclosing any of the information about the playtest software itself to others. While limiting, this is in no means any kind of legal NDA as many have been citing, though it's still unknown what the reach and repercussions of breaching said points would have to plausible offenders.

That, of course, didn't last long.

As soon as the playtest went live, the information about the Playtest Program got leaked online.
In short terms, the playtest program was a beta test for an upcoming MMO of sorts from Nintendo, which will be focusing on online interactivity with users to work together and "develop" a massive planet by farming resources and using their creativity, all of this with the aid of tools called "Beacons" which purify the land, with a "Dev Core" being the main hub for players to gather with other players. Some users online are citing some similarities from this Playtest Program to that of Minecraft to an extend.

The Nintendo Online Playtest Program is already closed from further registration, as only 10,000 members were accepted during the registration process, but those that were able to play it got a download code for a 2.2GB software on their Nintendo Switch.

Why would Ninetndo believe that the fans would not leak such a thing? And why are the fans still consistently leaking anything that is related to the Switch? Hell, Mario and Luigi: Brothership gotten leaked aswell!

at this point expect it to be inevitable in any shape or form, and keep in mind, 90% of people who leak video game & or media related material tend to have very big egos, to the point it almost always comes back to bite them if not immediately, later down the line, in this day and age leaking is not worth the time and effort solely because of that in my honest opinion, and but I'd love to be proven wrong where someone leaks something and isn't up their own ass about it and is actually careful with how they approach things.

Holy shit what is your obsession with whatever next gen console Nintendo puts out being destined to be another Wii U? Switch Security is in a very good spot because current switch homebrew relies on what amounts to having a defective CPU and there has been nothing like fusion-glee/modchips (the latter doesn't even count since you're deliberately modding the hardware like every other past console.

assuming we don't get any big exploits like ninjhax by Switch 2 launch, they'll be no way S2 security will be any worse.

oh and the guy who made the shiny new Ryujinx fork got the mark of death by jurnos who can't keep thier mouth shut so have fun!

actually you fucking retard the idea of Minecraft came from another 3d block filled game from 2009 and a few months before the first Minecraft tech test there was infinimer which notch himself also said that he was going to make an infimiminer clone and before infimiminer another 3d block game called infinifrag was released in 2006 and after the release of that game a sequel called infinifrag 2 was being concpeted and it LITERALLY looks like modern Minecraft but it was scrapped it would've had swamps, mountains, Forest and hell (like the nether and what it was originally called)
