It just blinks. The slow blink. The menu proceeds to crash as normal when the controller gets unplugged.
it shouldnt blink after you press the PS button, it should sync almost imidiately, its wierd lol, try deleting all controller inis on the root of usb/sd if you have any.

maybe your ps3 controller got locked on some code maybe try using it on ps3 ith the cable, shut it off and retry on the wiiu.

Tried both simultaneously, no luck. Starting Nintendont with the controller plugged in = it doesn't recognize a controller is even there until I plug it out and crashing ensues

did you used your controller on ps3 and then putted it on wiiu again? maybe something got broken and needs an hard reset on the controller.

NVM, got an adapter, life is good.

Prep your anuses. I'm finally going to ask the real stupidest question of all time.

With a mix of Wii stuff and full access to the Wii U's upgraded hardware, what are the chances of being able to send inputs to other users of Nintendont over a network, essentially allowing for online Gamecube games without Dolphin?

it's probably been asked, but just in case

Hey I recently tried installing Nintendont onto my Wii U, and it keeps giving me the " Failed to load kernal from NAND" error. Is there something else I am supposed to install? The main post says I don't to change any IOS or anything, and I couldn't find any other information about this anywhere. My main Wii U menu is running on 5.5.1U.

That error is generated when it's trying to load IOS58 to patch it so if you've modified it or the HBC (with a theme) that could be the problem.

Is there any concrete well-established and noob-friendly guide for getting cheats to work? Especially Action Replay cheats?
Keep in mind that not all cheats will work as cheat codes modify specific areas of RAM and those locations may not be the same with Nintendont due to patches needed to get GameCube games to work. I know somebody had a guide about finding out those changed locations but it was posted a while ago.

I haven't changed the HBC at all, is there a certain version I'm supposed to be using?

I don't think so. If you're using it on the Wii-U's virtual Wii it should work with the IOS58 that it comes with. I don't think it's been updated at all.

It's possible that there is a compatibility issue with the storage device you are using but I think that gives a numerical error.

The first two entries in the OP's troubleshooting section address this error. (link) Maybe try running SysCheck and post the .csv in spoilers just in case?

About my cheat comment: Never mind, figured it out. Get AR Codes, decrypt them with GCNCRypt, convert the decrypted codes with ARtoWiird, then insert those codes into WiiRD's GCT maker. Now I'm prepped for my "Snag Any Pokemon" runs for Pokemon XD and Colosseum! :)
