I tried today the psx and nds emulator and it works only from sd card. My question now is: can i buy a 16 or 32gb micro sd card with adapter and copy all files over the new card? Does it work with 16 or 32gb? And must i buy a sd card or can i buy a micro sd card with adapter? I dont must install anything, only want to load and play from sd card.

Any size will work with Nintendont. Just be warned that cutscenes will lag with an SD card since the speed is slower

i dont want use it with nintendont. only with psx and ds emulator. nintendont works with my usb stick. psx and nds emulator not, thats why i want a larger sd card. can i use a micro sd with adapter? i dont have one to test :)

Glad someone knows the exact speed. I don't keep up with that stuff

Now we just need cyan to add that under the "I have an error" section with the title "My cutscenes lag when using SD but not USB" or "My game is laggy" or something similar

I have finally seen a difference from usb to sd. I played MKGP1 from hd and there was zero jidder. It ran the best I have seen it run. Then played from sd and I seen the slightest jidder but it was there. My sd is sweet too and I never seen it until now.

I have a 32GB SD card and I have zero lag playing anything on it, it's Sandisk class 4 formatted to Fat32 64 cluster size.

As for PSX there's a modified version to run games from USB, works like a charm for me!

thanks for the info with ur sd card.
where i can test it? i load it from wiibrew - wiisx 2.1 beta. i see the option load from usb but it doesnt find my usb like other loaders.

Once again fix94 thanks for your awesome work!

I don't have access to my Wii U, nor my wii right now. How is the deflicker option working for you guys? I want to know what mode (ON/OFF) gives the best picture quality :)

-added an option to enable/disable video deflicker when using force video mode, basically disabling deflickering will make a sharper image but might not work properly on your tv and enabling deflickering will be a bit more blurry but should be smooth on all tvs
If this is possible then Nintendont could also support forced viWidth? Like for TVs with low levels of overscan we could force an upscale to 672, for instance the Wii U gamepad would benefit from this.

Depends on your preferences on crt TV you'll probably want it on, on an EDTV or HDTV with 480p you'll want it off.
However most people like it because it works like a cheap aa with no performance lost. If you're watching videos or image based games, like a GBA emu then you'll definitely want it off.

I noticed that the "welcome to your mansion" text in the PAL version of Luigi's Mansion stutters when it fades out. Is this because of 50 Hz? Running latest version on Wii U.

Edit: Nevermind, the whole game stutters. Damn 50 Hz. Too bad since it's the best version of the game game-wise.

Speaking of SD card speeds. I am using a Class 10 32GB microSDHC card in a USB reader with no problems. I only see cutscene issues if I use the card in the Wii U's internal SD slot. For some reason the Wii U's internal SD slot is slower than USB even when using the same SD card.

My recommendation is only use the rear USB port to play GameCube games from. This may solve other speed related issues as well.

For some reason 3rd party controllers that attach to the Wii Remote have issues depending on what Wii Remote model is being used. The Wii Motion+ Wii Remotes seem to have issues with Nintendont when trying to use 3rd party controller attachments while the original Wii Remotes (No motion Plus) seem to work fine. I would wait for someone to confirm.

Is there any difference between the NTSC-U version and the PAL version? I am running the NTSC-U version with no issues.

Hmm, finally found the reason why Paper Mario, as well as Pac-Man World 2 and other stack-dumping games kept stack dumping on me with USB Loader GX: 'twas because I renamed the folder from "Game ID" (like "G8ME01") to "(Game name) [Game ID]"; turns out just leaving the folder's name as the Game ID alone (just as it was immediately after DMtoolbox installation) will make it work post-r197.

So in spite of what the OP says, a new rule of thumb for USB Loader GX users would be to not tamper with folder names, not one character.
I tested this and surprisingly it worked, guess the problem in USB-Loader GX is the game title, maybe Cyan can look into that sometime.
I Will check it.
Could you tell me the name you used as game title? Did you use the internal title or did you rename it manually?

I have Paper Mario (PAL), but not the other game.

I have to add new settings too (native control, deflicker ... not incrementing nintendont cfg version for that? having a way to detect nintendont version inside the loader would be great, like with devolution loader's header)

For still frames and any 2D games, the answer is pretty much always going to be that playing without deflicker looks better. However, things get a bit more complicated in motion.

I've been fooling around with the feature some and grabbed a couple of screenshots to demonstrate. The first shot is with deflicker on, and the second shows the same game with deflicker off. Spoilered for size.
I'd say this one looks much better when deflicker is turned off. The improved clarity on the characters is offset by the jagginess of the 3D backgrounds, but since your focus is on the fighters anyway, that should take precedence.

TMNT's a really interesting one; Ubisoft apparently went with a reduced color palette and use the deflicker filter to cover up their dithering more than anything else. So it's a toss-up between filtering and dithering.

Tube Slider has a lot of highly detailed textures; these look pretty amazing in still shot once deflicker is turned off, but you also end up with a great deal of sawtoothing (jaggies "sliding around" on the textures) when the game is in motion. Again, it's a toss-up; does the game look better smoothed or sharp? Depends on you, your TV, etc.

For reference, there's a lot of games which already don't use deflicker; the smoothing effect of deflicker is likely to be most noticeable on "realistic" or otherwise busy games like Tube Slider above, whereas a Mario Sunshine or Wind Waker will probably look better without (and I believe these two both run without deflicker already).

Super Smash Bros. Melee had deflicker as an option in the menu for users to decide which they prefer, so if you want a practical example you can toggle at will, just mess around with that and see which you like best.

Any plans to fix Force Progressive on 50 hz (576i) games? It's totally not working. The game runs but black screen OR my TV says that it doesn't know the video mode. I originally thought that the Wii can't do 576p, but I learned Swiss could.

Is there any difference between the NTSC-U version and the PAL version? I am running the NTSC-U version with no issues.

Technical differences: The NTSC version is 60 Hz and supports progressive scan while PAL only runs in interlaced 50 Hz (lower framerate, for example.) The Wii U can't output 50 Hz at all so it doubles every 5th frame which creates a stutter. The NTSC version runs great for me as well, of course.

Gameplay differences: The hidden mansion (new game plus) is mirrored and has a lot more money to find. You can't get an A rank in the normal mansion, it's only doable in hidden because there's not enough money to find in normal.

the file names are "Pac-Man World 2 (U) [GP2E69]" and "Taxi 3 (E) [GXQF41]" I hope this helps!
