Not trying to sound rude, but what's the point of this? Doesn't DIOS MIOS have near 100% compatibility?
1) No, it doesn't. DIOS MIOS can't handle audio streamingNot trying to sound rude, but what's the point of this? Doesn't DIOS MIOS have near 100% compatibility?
Also, I read someone with an ntsc windwaker has great results! Which version is at now, 74, 75?
Ill test on my wiiu when i get home tonight.

i just realized that my hard drives usb that support 3.0/2.0 is a 3.0 usb i thought it was both ... now i need to find where i left my 2.0 port
ive been using the 3.0 port the whole time even with dios miosMy HDD uses a USB 3.0 cable, but works fine in a USB 2.0 port on the Wii and Wii U, you should be fine

i dont think the wii can handle a 3.0 port i only played gc games on 3.0 once using dios mios and it never worked at all so if i use 2.0 im guessing that my wii would be able to play gc games on my 1tb hdSo...what's the problem exactly?

USB 3.0 is compatible with 2.0.
True, but it's timings are different. It first tries to communicate using 3.0 and switches to 2.0 when that fails.
I tried the western digital passport drives on my wii and had nothing but problems with those.
That's when I noticed that not all "western digital passport" drives are alike.
Besides that, on wii, you could try to use it on it's native ios 58 usb 2.0, or on the usb 2.0 code of a cios which both gave different results.
Some older emulator forwarders could still use an older ios that even didn't supported usb 2.0. Neek had it's own buildin usb code which again was different.
The usb code improved and stuff was added to keep the harddisk spinning... (The spindown was a known problem).
I assume the Wiiu vwii is less critical in it's harddisk choices as it's supporting a harddisk in Wiiu mode. It seems to be more critical when it comes to the harddisk power consumption. If your disk needs more startup current, you will need an y cable to connect it with an additional plug to steal power from a second usb port.
