I think this supports my point for memory card emulation. "Devolution uses memory card emulation for slot A. The memory card file for emulation is /apps/gc_devo/memcard.bin. It's the same basic format as used by Dolphin, you can try to use Dolphin's memory card manager to insert/remove individual game files but it tends to be rather unreliable."

Why not just study the contents of the file devolution uses and then fix it using a similar method.

Capcom vs Snk 2 EO for Europe works now.
US version, on the other hand, makes a noise that turns my brain to jelly.

may have spoke too soon.
2 out of the 3 times I tested it, worked fine.
the middle try, it doubled the screen on top of itself.
soooooo works well a majority of the time but can glitch, looking like it has to do with the widescreen patch.

Question, is there any reason why a game from X region works, but the same game from Y region doesn't?

I'm not sure why But it is possible. Luigi's mansion USA on earlier revisions froze at the nintendo logo but the PAL version was fully playable.

Also crediar said that Windwaker PAL doesn't work but USA and JAP do

I never understood the reason behind it, it's weird to me for some reason. Just curious is all :P

so what are you guys trying out out?improve MCemu or compatibility? i mean it has to be one of those since dsp and usb are already done, i would like to know what to expect next.

Before anything else I would like to see:

1. full MCemu support (or hopefully close).
2. multidisc support.

Also i suspect Nintendont still needs some more (very specific) DSP patches.

Next logical step is compatibility. Once enough games work properly, we can test and improve the MC Emu.
Not really, some games cannot be tested if the MCemu is not working, unless you use a Wii with GC mem cardridge ofcourse.
Also, and sorry but i have to refer to it, DEVOLUTION had the MCemu part in place before games were fixed, so it should be possible.

My opinion is this makes testing a lot easier...no reason to not address this first.

i personally think testing would be easier without MC emu (as it messing up games that could already be working) one thing at a time and ide personally say that making the compatability list better is the first thing. but progress is looking good either way

Real memory cards are not working at all, inserted or not games always say there is an invalid or wrong device inserted and you will still get random freezes with mcemu disabled.

One of the games I tested (Zatch Bell Mamodo Fury) is actually more GC accurate than using devolution. In devo the gameplay is 90% of the time stuck in frameskip, in Nintendont there is no frameskip noticeable.
The frameskip comes from the game and is used as a fallback option when the fps drops but devolution seems to trigger it regardless.
So the game was much more playable in nintendont than devo albeit with no saving and random freezing.
Now I'm a bit curious if games that needed the manual timer patch from devo(like Nintendo Puzzle Collection) work fine with Nintendont. Although this might be a different cause altogether.
