Two questions regarding controls:

1. Can you have different control configs for different games?

2. Can you have different control configs for different players?

1. You can choose what buttons do what by editing the controller.ini

2. Nintendont only supports 1 player right now

I'm aware of that, I'm asking if controller.ini files can be configured per-game without having to manually open, edit, and save the controller.ini between games.

Even if you use the GC ports on a normal Wii?

Speaking of which, does the controller.ini affect GC controllers plugged into a normal Wii's GC ports?

ohh , okay adapter not supported yet. okay thanks.

and yes i purposely tried two of the games off the compatibility list as they showed as working (hulk and mario party 7)(even posted a pic of hulk that showed i checked the list) . i wanted a successful first attempt so i tried them first but they didn't work for me.
so i tried rampage as it is just a fun game and it failed too. maybe i need to use an older nintendont revision . but i never add info to the lists because i'm just one person and may not have done something right.

1. You must edit the controller.ini manually to remap any buttons

2. Multiple players are possible on normal Wiis if it has gamecube ports

3. I think its either or, either the gamecube ports or the single HID compatible controller will work. Hopefully someone who actually has tried Nintendont on a Wii can post the results

Try Wind Waker or Pikmin, Both games are working with sound in the latest revision

also you can try hulk and mario party 7 on the revision it shows working on the compatibility list. if compatibility has changed then we need to revert the changes until we find the problem

Hi any info on the Star Wars Gamecube games? specially Rogue Squadron 2! I love that game. I tried running it but didn't work and it's not shown on the compatibility list. any thoughts? I would love to see it all green hehe

Have you managed to get any working games shown on the list to work (especially wind waker and pikmin)?

We seem to be having a misunderstanding here, I realize that the only way to edit the controller.ini is manually.

My question is if you can have multiple pre-made controller.ini files and have them assigned per-game? For example, if I own both a Wii U pro controller and a dualshock 3, but I prefer the pro controller, I would want to use the pro controller's ini file for games that don't use analog shoulder buttons (like TimeSplitters 2) but would want to use the dualshock 3's ini file for games that require analog shoulder buttons (like Mario Sunshine).

Good to know.

I only own a launch Wii system but also have a mayflash CC-to-USB adapter so I could try it out. The only issue is that, unless Nintendo Puzzle Collection works (it's only 150MB when compressed), it's a pain for me to test Nintendont because the SD card in my Wii is only 2GB and the largest SD card I own, a 4GB, didn't work with Nintendont last time I tried.

Hi Adeka, I have Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Legend of Zelda Wind Waker and Burnout; all working great! I have the latest Nintendont release (it fixed Luigi's Mansion sound issues)

No. only one controller.ini file is supported across all games.

also I thought cyan fixed the shoulder buttons on the pro controller???

If you really want to check game compatibility of your favorite games then check r13, if it works on r13 and is broken on r35 then we need to know so we can fix it

I wouldn't know, I was only using it as an example.

Anyway, I just realized, does Nintendont even support physical GC memory cards? If not, is there any way to get a save dump via something like GCMM into Nintendont?

I may be mistaken but I swear I remember when I tried Sonic Heroes only P1 worked despite having 3 GC controllers plugged in which I use in Dios Mios.

Edit: then again maybe 2P mode only unlocks after collecting some emblems? I forgot it's been a while since I 100%ed that game and never deleted the save file!

Why wouldn't actual controller ports work? Just make sure HID controllers are turned off in the settings

GCMM 1.4c works great with Nintendont .

great to know, I never tried

What works in r13? Star Wars Rogue Leader?

Thank you

Oh you mean to check it... "if it works...." hehe ok I will try it then!

There are many other games small to fit, Crazy Taxi and Super Monkey Ball come to mind!

Super Monkey Ball don't work, tried it myself

I wish i had crazy taxi on my gamecube, awesome game. Hope someone can test that and add to the compatibility list

I'm not saying that it does or does not work on r13, that was just the last release from crediar before we took over the project. If a game works on r13 and doesn't work on r35 then we need to revert the changes until we find out whats wrong

Controller 1 worked fine, I was talking about P2 not working, but like I said I may have to unlock 2P mode first for it to work, I forgot, will need to test again sometime once I get the chance!

I can second that, tried Super Monkey Ball with Nintendont before and it crashes on the SEGA logo, as for Crazy Taxi I can test that game as well since I have it!
