I got my codes from here, the infinite health cheat from pedro, converted the cheats from the first page with my guide from here and created a txt file in the code manager also from my guide. the exported gct file works just fine. I can say that 3rd person is incredibly messed up, its not usable whatsoever lol, I might make a quick video about it cause it looks so messed up.
alright video is uploaded, I also wrote some stuff into the video description if you are interested in what I did.

Allright, creating a gct file with the codes above ( from the action replay site you provided and the inf health from pedro ) with ARtoOcarina tools.
Let's see...

EDIT: Black screen after BIOS.
Maybe my iso is the wrong version.
Gonna get the v1.0, the v2.0, the 3.0 and try the code with each one. Thats my last option.

I tried that before with an official build with black background, the text color is not solid black so it's still visible and if I change the black color to match the text it'll be visible as it's not as black as the real loading screen, it doesn't matter though.
You mean the default background appears while you are not using a BIOS and booting from a USB loader, am I right?
Is there any text on the screen or not?

Pedro, thank you very much for sharing the code. I´m downloading v1.0 right now and will test it with your code. Thank God this is the only gc game that is being a problem with cheat codes now. If it works, the cheat problem is over and I'm gonna be 100% satisfied with my system.
Again, THANK YOU!!

I have a legit copy of metroid prime v1.00 ntsc full, non-compressed redump verified.
I'm only using 1:1 ntsc isos on my USB, getting a MP v1.00 ntsc right now!

Sigh... Living and learning...
Just used the md5 tool and the redump.org site, and yes, the MP I have is v1.02...
Can't be anything else, that's the problem. Just waiting the v1.00 arrive to test, but my guess is it will be okay now...

What's the difference between 1.00 and 1.02?

Bugfixes and minor changes.

Not sure what you mean, when the screen fades to black transitioning from the loader (USB-Loader GX in my case) to Nintendont, then the blackness is a different color if I make it match the text color so it's as if the splash screen was shown, if I make it solid black like the loading screen color the text will be visible, you can test it yourself with the background mod it's easy to test!

So I updated to 3.336 earlier today, I tested some of the codes that didn't work before and I can't see any difference, the ones that worked still work, the ones that didn't still don't, just thought I'd report, please don't shoot me.

I can assure you, the problem is the code...
I was having a hard time with codes, so, you have to be picky with that. Try to make the fewest codes active at the same time, and try not to make two different codes that make the same thing active at the same time.
I thought I could just pick every code for the game, put there and voilá, but dont. Too many active codes break the game.
I personally just use infinite health for most games, cause I like to find out things, go after items, etc. I just don't have time and patience anymore to keep dying and repeating a lot of things again and again... This is for old games I really wish to beat. I play them for the story, not the challenge anymore...

Umm... I believe we're talking about two different topics...

I don't use codes all that often but when I do I let USB Loader GX download them for me. Is that a good way to get the right codes I need or should I be using one of the sites linked above in previous posts?

usbloaderGX download codes from geckocodes.org
If this website has the codes you want, that's good.

But not all existing codes are on that website, so if you want codes that GX/geckocodes don't have, then you need to create the GameID.txt file yourself with the codes inside.
copy the file in /txtcodes/ folder and go to ocarina menu in the loader to enabled/disable the cheats you want and generate the gct.

Note:
Some cheatcode require user input, like "choose the item you want to unlock".
USBLoaderGX currently doesn't support editing codes directly from the user interface, so you need to open them manually on your computer first.

I'd say if these codes are good enough for you then stick with them, one good thing about geckocodes.org is that usually the codes provided work fine with Nintendont, however like Cyan said, this website is very limited with GC codes and the most noticeable issue is consistency, they seem to provide codes for games not many people care for "Simpsons Hit and Run" and ignore games that are more popular "Mega Man X Collection" which I find weird, trying codes from gamehacking.org which I provided a link to earlier http://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendont.349258/page-1412#post-5494474 I can't say all the codes I tried worked but most of them worked fine, Sonic Riders, Midway Arcade Treasures, Sonic R, Megaman Anniversary Collection, Megaman X Collection, TMNT1, TMNT2, TMNT3... the list goes on.

For those who wanna use cheat codes but can't find any this is the best place I found http://gamehacking.org/?sys=ngc&q=all make sure to change the "View Format" to "Gecko" first.

Thanks for that site. There is a code that does exactly what I want with Smash Bros. Melee (See below)

The only problem is that they don't seem to have it if you change the filter to Gecko. I have tried to convert it using the tutorial by Fix... but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone have a Gecko equivalent of this code or can do a better job of converting it?

Code:
Trophy Bearer (Only Unlocks The Three Hidden Trophies) Jason Haffner ARM

9Z9R-9PME-4YG98
0AVF-HTFR-3HMAK
BAWG-81D2-47NV9

NEN1-UKR0-5P244
UCJB-RVTG-TMND1
UTF5-T9XT-JFMH5
AK9Q-J6ZZ-0GT29
E9FZ-A3QA-YCERP

(Here's a code that will unlock the Samus Unmasked, Mario & Yoshi, and Tamagon trophies in SSBM. It unlocks ONLY these three trophies, and will work regardless of how many trophies you already have.

At the main menu, press the Z button to activate the code.)

consdiering smash has several versions you need to know if that code is for 1.00,101 or 1.02 the version of the isos is the most important.

for example earlier the infinite health code for metroid prime only works on metroid 1.00 and not on metroid prime 1.02, so first you need to make sure if that code is for 1.00,1.01 or 1.02 before start trying to get it to work.
